What started as a regular day turned into the worst day of many to come for Tk he started the day by picking up some donuts for the police station he would cook something but it was very clear cooking was not his strong suit
He drove over to the police station thinking about how surprised and hopefully happy Carlos would be to see him Carlos always came to the firehouse with dishes of home cooked meals and Tk never did the same but today and thought it might be nice to return the favor since they gots married last year Tk came to the station a lot to visit Carlos especially on his days off he wasn't sure why he never went before
He got out of the car holding the boxes in hand before walking in he greeted Janice the receptionist at the front desk before heading into the main station "hey babe what are you doing here ?" Carlos said getting up from his desk " I brought donuts for you guys ." Tk smiled as Carlos's new parter got up to help take the boxes from Tk's hands "thanks baby." Carlos smiled softly holding tks hand
It had been 3 months since Carlos got his new partner Mitchell moved away to go focus on her husband and kids and since then mark had been her replacement Tk couldn't help but notice how mark had Carlos's name tag on his police shirt and after looking further Carlos had marks
" you know you guys have the wrong name tags on right ?" Tk mentioned they both looked down nervously " Carlos was kind enough to lend me his shirt I spilt coffee all over my old one .." mark said nervously " the one Carlos is wearing now with your name tag ." Tk brought up
"Um- well we.." mark tried to make and excuse
"Oh my god ." Tk said before walking out
"= Tk wait ." Carlos said rushing after Tk
"Would you wait a second !" Carlos said grabbing Tk by the arm " get your hands off me ." Tk yelled " just wait ." Carlos breathed " I can explain ." Carlos said " it was a mistake .. it just happened." Carlos said softly as Tk " fuck you !" Tk yelled " how long have you been fucking him ?"Tk said
"2 weeks ..." Carlos swallowed
" wow but for sure it was a mistake ." tk said " i would have never done something like this to you .." tk said " im sorry tk please just dont leave ." tk swallowed deeply before taking off his wedding band " send me the wedding invite hopefully this time your vows arent a lie ." tk said " I'll be out of the house by the time you get home ." he said before getting in his11 car when tk got back to the loft he grabbed a few suitcases taking his clothes and work uniforms toiletries things from his mom his medication ect by the time he was done there was no trace of tk throughout the loft he knew his dad had a hot date that night so he couldnt stay with him tonight so he went to his next best alternative
he knocked on the door and when Nancy answered she was confused "I know you guys are having your girl's night and ill stay out of the way I was just wondering if I could crash here tonight ?" tk said softly playing with his finger " yeah, of course, we can make it the paramedic crew night instead ." nancy said guiding him in their show was paused and Tommy was on the couch drinking her glass of wine " hey sweetheart what are you doing here ?" tommy said softly "hes gonna hang with us tonight and crash here too ." nancy said but tommy noticed tk wasnt wearing his wedding ring "im gonna use your bathroom .." tk said softly "okay bud ." nancy said when they heard the bathrom door close tommy spoke up " hes not wearing his ring ." tommy said" what ?" nancy said " his wedding ring it not on his finger ." tommy said " well maybe he forgot it ." nancy tried to bargain " he never takes it off." tommy said tk came out of the bathroom and sat o the couch " i didnt ruin your guy night did i ?" tk asked looking at nancy and tommy "no of course not ." tommy said " we ordered pizza it should be comig soon if your hungry." nancy smiled " thanks im just not really hungry ." tk said " tk sweet heart did something happen ?" tommy asked
"carlos cheated on me ." tk said resting his head on tommys shoulder "what ?" nancy said " with his new partner at work .." "that ass-." nancy was about to go on a full rant before tommy shook her head
the next day they all went to work like usual like nancy and tommy everyone picked up on tk not wearing his ring and bgan to question so when nancy left tk restocking " alright spill the beans gillian whats up with strand and reyes ?" judd said " nothing .." nancy said biting her lip "No she knows something what is it ?" Paul said, "Carlos cheated on Tk.." Nancy said " oh hes a dead man ." judd said. Cracking his knuckles
