My prompt - post 3x08 what happened after the plane landed safely
So much had happened in the past 48 hours Tk was exhausted after the plane landed safely
Owen drove them home Tk and Carlos in the backseat holding each other Carlos didn't want to let go of Tk not after what had happened
When Owen pulled up to the loft Carlos nodded to Tk softly " You head up I'll get your bag." Carlos said before kissing Tk's head
"You sure ?" Tk asked, "Yeah I got this go get cleaned up ." Carlos said Carlos went to the trunk while Tk said goodbye to his dad " I love you ." Tk said to Owen "Love you too son ." Owen said giving a small smile to his son before Tk headed up
"Thank you Owen for the ride and taking care of him today ." Carlos thanked Owen
" anytime look Carlos .." Owen said before clearing his throat "Just take care of him okay ?" Owen said, " he's my boy and I can't imagine losing him too." Owen said softly " I will ." Carlos said softly
When Carlos came in he rolled Tk's suitcase To the side along with his own before starting a load of wash
Tk felt like the blood was all over him he scrubbed and scrubbed until his skin was practically raw when he got out of the tub a notification popped up on his phone
It was a voicemail from Carlos he assumed it was sent while his phone had been in airplane mode
He hesitated before clicking on the notification
"Tyler - I doubt you'll ever hear this - I just need you to know how much I love you okay I love you so much - god I've loved you ever since I've met you ." Tk could hear the small sniffles Carlos made "Baby- I don't know how to live without you - I'm sorry this is happing okay - I'm so sorry ." Carlos said
By the end of the voicemail, the tears were falling down his face
Tk made his way downstairs to see Carlos in the kitchen washing dishes he walked over pulling his sleeves over his hands "Hey baby did you want anything -." Carlos asked before seeing Tk's face "Baby what's wrong ?" Carlos asked
Tk just hugged Carlos his head resting on Carlos's chest as the tears soaked his shirt
"I heard your voicemail I'm so sorry I scared you ." Tk cried "Baby you - you weren't supposed to hear that." Carlos said
"I didn't know you cared that much.." Tk said as Carlos lifted his chin so he could see Tks face "Of course, I care baby ." Carlos said, "cmon let's get you to bed for a nap you're probably exhausted."
Later that night they lay in bed tangled in each other's arms enjoying the comfortable silence they both were just happy to be there in that moment together unharmed no words needed to be said
"I need to tell you something and your gonna be mad .." Tk said sitting up and crossing his legs into the crisscross position
"I doubt that ." Carlos said sitting up slightly "What's up baby ?" Carlos asked, "The reason why I was at the firehouse was because I was trying to get drugs ." Tk said quietly he couldn't look at carols he knew if he saw the disappointment in his eyes it would be scarred on his brain
"But I didn't take anything - I swear," Tk said picking at his fingernails
"I'm not mad Tk," Carlos said tilting tks chin up
"How - I almost relapsed I'm sure you're pissed," Tk said confused
" you and I both know whether you took the drugs or not you wouldn't have taken the step further to use them, baby ." Carlos stroked tks face " I see every day how you get up and you put your all into your sobriety." Carlos rubbed tks back
Carlos moved closer to Tk resting his head on tks shoulder
" I believe in your recovery one hundred and one percent baby - I'm always in your corner don't ever doubt that baby," Carlos said before kissing tks forehead
