being an addict comes with its highs and lows especially when you get clean - after Sadie Tk felt like walls were coming down left and right eventually after his meeting his sponsor who he still has to this day helped him feel better

but sometimes the urges were too strong

he sat in the locker room with his knees pulled to his chest his hands were shaking everyone's shift was now everyone went home to their families and their person so why couldn't he? why was he sitting there frozen in place with tears coming down his face with shaky hands he picked up his phone

"hey baby you on your way home ?" Carlos said in an upbeat tone "Baby you there ?" Carlos asked he could hear the shakiness in his breath "Could you um- could you pick me up please.." tk said crying That was when Carlos grabbed his coat and keys immediately

"im sorry..." tk said "Tk Sweetheart where are you ?" Carlos said getting in his car he just heard TKS breathing "Tk I need to know where you are baby.." carlos asked "Work.." tk said sniffling "Okay baby just stay on the phone with me they'll be there in 15." Carlos said softly

"hey son thought you would have left by now b shift comes in in an hour," Owen says walking into the locker room

tk looked up at Owen and when Owen saw tks flushed face his red eyes and tears coming down his face Owen joined tk on the floor
he saw that he was on the phone with good Carlos he did what his sponsor told him to "im here bub." Owen said rubbing tks back tk curled into his dad's chest and just let all his tears go

Carlos sighed as he heard tk break down with his father

"im here son," Owen said "daddys here ."

they stayed like that until Carlos showed up "Bug- Carlos is here." Owen told tk when tk looked up to see Carlos "Los.." tk said as Carlos pulled him into a hug Carlos gave Owen a sad smile as tk clung onto Carlos "Should we go home ?" Carlos asked he felt tks soft nod in his chest Owen stood up kissing tk on the side of his head "Love you kiddo ." Owen said before walking out leaving the two "Let's get you home Carlos said softly grabbing his bag

when they got into the car Carlos gave tk his throw blanket he knew whatever had happened tk wasn't ready to talk about it yet so he didn't push tk was silent the whole ride home Carlos just held his hand it up to kiss it Now and then
when they got home he got tk set up in bed and into some comfy clothes "im sorry ." tk said looking at Carlos as he changed into his comfy clothes with glossy eyes "tk don't apologize .. you did nothing wrong.." Carlos said kneeling in front of tk "I wanted to use.." tk said as the tears started to fall "And you called me that's good .." Carlos said running his hands through his hair "I knew if I left I wouldn't come home .." tk sighed as he bit his fingernail "do you know what might have triggered you maybe a call.. was it something I said ..?" Carlos asked "no- no you dint do anything .." tk said

"I've been seeing my mom all around today .." tk said looking at Carlos "It is just everywhere I look today I see her she not even saying anything she just there and then I was about to leave and I saw her there .. she was laying on the road with blood surrounding her and jonah was crying - i - i ." tk tried to speak but only tears came "shh it's okay .." Carlos pulled him into his chest "I just - I miss her so much Carlos.." tk said as his tears rolled on Carlos's bare skin "i know you do baby .."

later that night he got a message on his phone from Owen

Owen- how's my boy?

Carlos- sleeping now - he's been seeing Gwynn all day he saw her on the ground with blood around her

Owen- poor thing .. you know he listened to the 911 call right?

Carlos - no he never mentioned anything .. but knowing tk it makes sense

owen - get some rest .. thank you for what you do for him.

Carlos sighed looking down at tk who was fast asleep on his chest he had been through so much

Carlos reached over in the middle of the night only to find cold sheets where tk was supposed to be where was Tk?

he scurried out of bed headed downstairs and looked around until he heard the tv

"come to Mama Tk." he heard Gwynn's voice he watched from a distance as little tk took his first steps and then fell into his mom's arms "He gonna be a mam boy for sure ." Gwynn smiled at the film as tk sat in her arms playing with the beads on her necklace "No, he gonna be a daddy boy ." Owen bundled

"you were a really cute baby .." Carlos said making tk jump "Sorry.." tk hummed "im gonna ban you from the word sorry ." Carlos said dropping a blanket over tk before sitting down and joining him "You don't have to be here .." tk said looking at Carlos "And miss the opportunity of seeing you as a baby no way -." Carlos laughed 'besides your gonna fall asleep and you need your human pillow ." Carlos said softly opening his arms for tk to lie down

the next day while tk was at work against carlos's suggestion but he went so carlos took the channce to do something for tk he got out the ingredients to make gwyns cookies the ones she always used to make with tk if he was having a rough day or if owen missed a school event or something along thoose lines he baked them and then headed to the station he walked into the kitchen placing them on the counter " you brought cookies sweet ." mateo said taking one " thanks man ." paul said " just save a few for tk ." carlos said softly owen looked in the tin seeing the cookies giving carlos a soft smile
