"what's wrong with you!" I said urging barty to stop arbutly, he practically dragged me like a lost puppy until we reached the courtyard

"Hey! Relax alright, i'm doing you a favor it's not like you were listening to anything slughorn was saying, you looked tired and I was worried about you" he huffed impatiently

He was right, I haven't been sleeping well, my nights are being wasted on nightmares, awful horribly things happening to me and the ones I love all caused by one person, Voldemort, the urge to destroy him had not left my brain for weeks now, every thought and every ounce of energy is wasted on this particular situation,

One way or another; I'm going to defeat the dark lord even if it kills me at the process, I'll be doing myself a favor anyway.

"I'm sorry, i- I haven't been sleeping well lately" I started obvious nervousness in my voice

"I'm so sorry I didn't mean to shout at you, I'm really sorry barty-" I was cut off by the sudden embrace

One thing about barty is that he seemed wicked and all but on the inside he was just a little boy who begged for his father's attention.

"Never apologize to me" he gently caressed my cheek "I was just worried"

"I know, I know that and i shouldn't have yelled but i'm just so distressed lately, something awful happened" i choked off the last words as my eyes started to burn with trapped tears

"It's alright, I'm sure we'll figure this out" he tried reassuring me but oh if he knew

"I'm marrying Regulus"

"Ok what's really happening?" he laughed and i watched as his smile slowly disappeared the second he realized i was serious,

He stood there for a moment unfazed before he let out a single laugh and that was soon followed by more and more laughter till the point i wanted to smack him across the face

"NO" he said practically dying from laughter "that Voldemort guy is evil"

"You don't tell"

"You hate each other's guts" he continued with this ridiculous behavior

"Barty this is a real problem right here"

"this is hilarious!" He panted "we were even surprised when you both said a grumpy
'good morning' to each other"

"really not funny"

"I mean, I was even considering who would kill the other first, me and pandora bet on it" he recalled giggling like a child

"Still not funny"

"Wait till the others hear" he said marching towards the dungeons

"WAIT" I snatched him by the collar "you can't tell anyone!"

He stared at me troubled placing one hand at the hip "Why? The whole school would know soon enough anyways"

The whole school?? Oh no

"Oh you didn't think about that, did you?" He asked and i only shook my head overwhelmed

Suddenly i felt the real problem, everything was going down and if i had been honest with myself i would admit that i couldn't really do this, I can't be engaged to someone like Regulus, sure he's not all bad but he is a blood supremest, the whole black family are and there's nothing i could do to change that, even if i myself was pureblooded, I don't support these acts of cruelty towards what they call them'mudbloods'

"Everything is moving so fast" I sighed defeatingly "I'll even be moving to the black manor at the beginning of summer"

"What!" Barty gasped

"you really have to stop with these reactions It's not making me feel any better" I glared at him

"sorry" he muttered

"you're a shitty best friend" I said jokingly

"I know" he laughed and we sat there for the rest of the day admiring the sun as it settled into the abyss shimmering as it disappeared introducing us to the beautiful night sky

"I miss one meeting and this all happens" barty muttered with fake annoyance

"Barty!"
