During the summer of 1975 Sirius black decided it was enough as an outrageous fight with his parents took place in the old walls of the black manor, Sirius refused to join Voldemort as soon as he heard about his methods of killing innocent souls and muggles, from the very beginning Sirius black was a rebellious boy who refused to stand in the shadows of his parents
He ran off to his room quickly throwing his things in an enchanted bag to fit everything he owned
On reaching the manor's door his father acknowledged him
"where do you think you're going young man?" And that caught his mother's attention
" SIRIUS ORION BLACK" his mother cried " if you take one step out of this door then you are no son of mine and you shall never be welcomed here , if you dare to leave this house then we shall burn whatever you have left" she warned anger flooding her voice, Sirius' father stood tall beside her looking at Sirius with a mixture of disgust and disappointment as if daring him to resume his actions as if his father could scare him out of his mind but Sirius had no such intentions his decision was made ,
but what everyone didn't notice is a distraught looking Regulus shock filling his sharp features while a feeling of betrayal ran through his veins, Sirius was running away , Sirius was leaving him behind and never looking back, Sirius black , his older brother , the one he once adored was running away, but the older brother was so angry that he didn't notice what he was leaving behind and with one swift motion he opened the door and disappeared into the darkness
That night Orion black burned Sirius' name off of the family's tree that was hung up proudly
That night was the very first night that walburga black noticed Regulus , really noticed him ,she had always been focused on the older brother discarding Regulus
And he acted the part so good that he became a soulless figure between the ancient walls , as long as Sirius was there no one noticed Regulus ,
And that brought him some comfort seeing the fights between his brother and his parents, it left him completely untouched in the shadows and Sirius had always made sure of that , protecting his brother at all costs
even if it meant getting cursed for it
Even if it meant getting hit for it
Even if he suffered for it
Sirius black always protected regulus
But all changed after that starless night
