The night sky shimmered with a gleam as the constellation brightest star shined , it's crucially ridiculous how some people don't like astronomy, how could you not love watching the sky at night , go stargazing, how could you not love it when the stars shine before you, just for you.
I was excited to finally spend time alone , although I've grown to spending time with the others but sometimes all a person could want is a simple free breath at the dead of the night,
But that all changed when I saw a figure sitting at the edge of the astronomy tower, feet dangling, head thrown back, humming a familiar tune, she heard my footsteps and her humming turned into uncomfortable silence as she turned to look at me

But i didn't care about the awkward silence like i would usually do, No
I couldn't stop thinking about how alluring she looked under the pale moonlight forgetting all about my plan
I put a dour expression on my face and gathered the courage to look her dead in the eyes, but
oh how I wish I didn't
To a passer by her beauty seemed ordinary, sure somewhat appalling, her features were simple and most of them would not fit into what we call
"A beauty standard" nowadays, but when you look at her , when she looks at you , that's when you realize how hauntingly beautiful she looks with her ridiculously beautiful brown eyes and her long shiny black hair ,
she looks orphic
And I hated how that made me feel.
Suddenly a heavyweight pressed on my heart
"Carmen" I acknowledged her with a nod realizing that this is the perfect time to gather information but she only smiled in response "black?" , not exactly helping but then again I ordered her last time to only call me black
Mentally face palming I spoke
"How are you?" Trying to he as nice as i could , which is , in all honesty, not very nice
"I'm splendid, you?"
"Well"
"So I heard that you don't have a middle name?" I added impatiently,i couldn't hold small talk anymore, She looked at me as if I was a mad man "what's wrong with that?"
Why is she insisting on answering every single question with another question
"Nothing is wrong just trying to know more about you" I lied,
obviously
"Well I thought you already did, huh?" She stood up , head briefly tilted to the side looking me with a look that screamed; I know what you did
"Did what?" I portraited an innocent expression
"Don't play dumb we both know you're smarter than that" she said
"Alright, you caught me" no point in denying anymore
"Wasn't really that hard"
"How?"
"Your scent"
"My scent? What you're a dog or something?"
"Believe it or not regulus black you have a strong scent that could be recognized anywhere , you bath yourself in that nasty perfume" she breathed angrily by the time she said the last part
"i see" I nodded approvingly "you're not just an ordinary girl aren't you?" She responded with a sarcastic wink
"let's get straight into this then, how did you get the dark mark? " I said bluntly and expected the least bit of surprise from her but she didn't budge
"how did you get yours?" She looked at my left arm expectangly and this time I was the one surprised and she enjoyed that
"I'll show you mine if you show me yours" i whispered and she must have heard it because she instantly rolled her sleeves revealing hers the same time k revealed mine
"Satisfied now?" She asked impatiently embarrassment and shame covering her whole features
"Well don't look so regretful, you made the right choice by becomi-"
"Becoming what? A death eater?" She looked fuming right at this moment , like she really hated herself, like she really hated me
"You must know i have no such interest in becoming a loyal follower of that selfish maniac man who is blinded by hatred, it wasn't my choice" i watched as a single tear rolled down her delicate cheek
Damn it i shouldn't think that!
"It's done anyway, there's no point in regretting it" i sighed
"Yeah but there's a difference between me and you regulus black" she walked towards me our faces inches away
"You're a coward, I'm not" she whispered slowly in my ears before running away
Leaving me a twirl of emotions all brewed up together ready to explode any moment
And I despised her with passion that i wanted to rip her apart and watch blood flow down her body.
how dare she talk to me like that?
