Chapter Twenty Nine - Apartment Talks (Part 1)

Tori's POV

My head started pounding as my senses resurfaced.

I'd been awake for quite some time but didn't really possess the energy to move a muscle.

Finally, I decided to open my eyes as the sunlight hit them, only making me shut them again, as I felt throbbing in the back of my head.

I sighed.

I kept myself under the covers.

There was a light knock at the door.

"Come in," I said, not being able to find my own little voice.

I cleared my throat and said it again. The door creaked open and I heard footsteps and then the sound of the curtains being drawn.

I sighed in relief as I slowly took the blanket off my face.

"Morning drunkard,"

I narrowed my eyes at her.

Jess just shook her head at me.

I frowned as the events of last night repeated in my brain.

The party. Old friend Daniel. Drinking some random guy''s drink. Unintentionally I may add.

And, evasdropping.

The conversation between Dylan and Aiden repeated in my mind and I felt my stomach twist in a weird way.

Pushing it aside, I tried to recall some other events as the images ran across my mind.

I sat up straight and looked down at myself. I was still wearing the dress from last night and I was glad I decided to wear something comfortable for the party.

Suddenly, a little scene of waking up and finding myself in a car with someone came across my mind.

"Who brought me home Jess?" My eyes grew wide as I gaped at her in horror.

At this, she gave me a sly smile. "Your boyfriend,"

I raised a brow at her.

"Why did you let him?"

"He offered," She shrugged.

I frowned. He left a party to drop me home?

"Why would he?" I asked more to myself.

"Because he's your boyfriend. Duh," She stated, rolling her eyes.

"Conditions apply," I muttered under my breath.

She handed me two advils with a glass of juice.

"Thank you," I said as I took it from her hands and gulped it down.

"So did you like Daniel?"

"Like as in?" I asked, while sipping the juice.

"You know," She shrugged. "As a person. What do you think?"

"Yeah he's a nice guy," I said before something snapped into my brain.

"Jess," My eyes grew wide. "What did Aunt say?"

"I explained her that it wasn't your fault,"

"Oh," I let out a sigh as I nodded.

She laughed. "Its funny how you switch your mood that fast,"

I smiled.

She was going to leave but I remembered something. "Jess how long have you known Daniel?"
