Chapter 41

We're official.

It's been weeks, and I'm content but also terrified. I have never seen Kale since the debate. I wanted to ask Audy but decided not to.

I heard that my friends already know about us, and so does Ely. I no longer have any news about her and don't want to ask. I'll wait for her to tell me.

A week after we became official, I never saw her, even her shadows. Maybe she's avoiding me and took a few days off, but I really hope—down to my deepest core—that she's okay.

I'm in Audelia's passenger seat. We're on our way to the university. I turned my gaze on her. She has this intense amount of focus written on her face, and I can't help but smile. I know she can see me through her peripheral vision.

. . away na nangyari.

Tama si Mel, medyo pikunin 'tong si Audy. Now I know kung bakit lagi siyang iniinis ni Ely. She has this side na ang cute mainis imbes na katakutan, para talaga siyang bunny sa isang cartoon.

And then hindi ko mapigilan ang sarili kaya lagi kaming nagtatalo, but in the end we'll ask for each other's forgiveness.

There is so much about her that she doesn't know, and I think she will never know because I'm the only one who can see, and I have the will to meet her needs.

It's adorable each time we argue. She'll throw tantrums 'cause I won't stop teasing her, when she purses her lips and chafe glints in her eyes.

She'll call me mine when she feels defeated, then pout, but when she calls my first name. . . oras na para magpaka-bait ulit.

"You're zoning out. . . are you okay?"

"Yes," I nodded. "I'm okay."

"Really?" Her voice rose a bit. "I want to hear your thoughts. . ."

"Ikaw lang."

"But I'm just right here." Confusion invaded her eyes. Red light na pala.

"Exactly," I smiled. "Ayaw mo no'n kasama kita yet you're also in my mind."

"Did you ever see your face while you're zoning out?" Her lips rose a bit. My smile faded. "My bad. Try to record yourself."

"So sinasabi mong para akong sabog?" I arched my brow.

"I didn't say that,"

"I didn't say that." Ang sama ah!

"Kidding," she chuckled. "You're still adorable to me."

"Talaga?"

"Nah. . ." she shook. "I'm not sure."

"Okay sabi mo e," I pouted and crossed my arms.

It's because of traffic lights and it's okay at least walang madidisgrasya.
