Benson and Skips are in Mr. Maellard's office. "It's always good to have you at the park, Mr. Maellard, sir." Benson said. Mr. Maellard turns to face Benson & Skips. "Don't try to fraternize with me, Bert." He said. "Actually, sir, my name is Benson." He replied. "I know what your name is, Beanbag! So, everything is ready for the unveiling of the new statue today, right, Beanbag?" Mr. Maellard asked.

"Yes, sir. The catering's all set up, and the sound system is in place..." Benson said. "Good. Great. Only one thing missing. My son!" He shows a portrait of Pops. "Pops! When I told him he had to give a speech today, he ran away, crying. I didn't invite all my friends and waste a lot of money for nothing! Right, Beanteen?" Mr. Maellard asked. "Uh, no, sir." Benson said. "Now you go find Pops so he can give his speech, or you're fired! Underline, FIRED!!!" Seconds later, the door slams. "So, what do we do first?" Skips asked. "Find Pops,

and make sure Mordecai and Rigby don't mess this up. Maybe have (Y/n) help out." Benson said. Meanwhile at the swing set, Pops is sitting on one of the swings, sobbing, as (Y/n), Mordecai and Rigby walk up. "Hey Pops, is everything okay?" (Y/n) asked softly as she approaches him. "No. My father wants me to give a speech in front of all his friends today. But I can't, because I'm a no-good turkey and I'm going to strawberry jam the whole thing up!" Pops said. The trio look at each other. "What are you saying?" Rigby asked. "Come on, Rigby. Isn't it obvious? He's got stage fright." (Y/n) said. "How was that obvious?! How can anyone interpret that language?!" Rigby snapped, and (Y/n) slaps him. "Ow!" He glares at her.

"She's right..." Pop said. "I give speeches all the time. It's easy." Rigby said. "When do you ever give speeches?" Mordecai asked. "What? It's like, just, talking in front of a bunch of people. We talk in front of each other all the time." Rigby said. "That's different." (Y/n) counters. "Oh yeah? How is it different?" Rigby asked. "Talking in front of one or two people is nothing like talking to a large crowd, Rigby."

(Y/n) folds her arms, and Rigby scoffs. "Whatever." Rigby said. (Y/n) rolls her eyes, then turns back to Pops. "Don't worry, we can totally help you get over your nerves." She said. "Oh, thank you!" Pops said. The four go to another part of the park, next to a lamppost covered with notes. "Okay, Pops. I want you to pretend there's a crowd of people here. But, they're all your family and friends. You know, people who it's easy for you to talk to." Mordecai backs away. "And... go!" He said.

"Oh! Uh..." Pops pulls out a notecard from his vest. "I need my notes. Let's see. Umm..." he notices the emptiness. "Where did everyone go? They must have hated my speech." He said. "Oh boy..." (Y/n) said quietly. "No, Pops. Just pretend there are people there." Mordecai said. Pops turns to emptiness, then back to the trio. "I'm not very good at pretending." He said. "I got this." Rigby goes to the lamppost to grab a band for hire ad and puts it over Pops' eyes. "Here. Pretend these dudes are your friends and family in the crowd." He said. "Where did these people come from?" Pops asked. "Okay, Pops. Give it a shot." Rigby said. Rigby turns Pops to the right.

"Okay, um..." Pops pauses nervously. "NO! NO! Get away!" He starts running around. The ad shakes as he moves.. "STOP FOLLOWING ME!" He runs into the lamppost and (Y/n) face palms and sighs. "Maybe we should just find you some real people to practice on." Mordecai said. Pops struggles to give his speech in front of people at a baseball stadium, concert hall, movie theater, restaurant, hospital and job interview. Later at the park again Pops is still sobbing. "This isn't working." (Y/n) sighs. "I guess Pops will just never be able to give his speech, you know what I'm saying?" Rigby asked, and (Y/n) punches him. "Owww... How you holding up there, Pops?" Rigby asked.

"Oh, I just don't think I can do it." Pops said. "Hey, I know. Why don't you just picture everybody naked?" (Y/n) asked. "Naked?" Rigby asked, and she shrugs. "A lot of people do it." "Okay..." he looks at Mordecai & Rigby to see that they are already naked. So then he looks over at (Y/n) and tries to use that method on her, but... "I don't like doing this..." he cries. "Ugh. I don't know, why don't you just spin around and get dizzy or something?" Rigby asked, and (Y/n) snickers.
