Over the Top

At the hospital, Rigby is lying dead on a stretcher, and (Y/n), Mordecai, Pops, Skips and Benson are standing around him. (Y/n) was close to having a breakdown so Mordecai was doing everything he could to comfort her. "I'm sorry. There was nothing we could do." The doctor said. That's when (Y/n) lost it and began sobbing uncontrollably. Mordecai hugs her for comfort and she hugs him back.

Pops and Benson bow their heads. Mordecai looks at Skips. "You couldn't let it go. Well, I hope you got what you wanted." Mordecai said spitefully. "Let's go, (Y/n)." Mordecai said, walking towards the door. "Wait," she said, and they both look at her. "I need some more time, I... just let me stay with Rigby for a bit longer, please..." she said, as tears well up in her eyes. Neither of them could stand to see her like this. Mordecai sighs and choose not to argue. "Okay, meet me outside once you're done." He then glares at Skips one last time before leaving. Skips looks over at (Y/n) who was staring at Rigby with a mourning expression.

~Flashback~

The park gang are all at McHooligan's together. "Hey. Let me tell you guys something. This guy, this guy right here is so strong. He could take any one of you out in arm wrestling." Benson said. "Nah nah." Skips  laughs modestly. "Skips, Skips. I am your boss, and as your boss, I order you to arm wrestle me." Benson said. Everyone chants his name. "Alright, alright, if you insist." He slams Benson's arm. "OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Everyone said. "What did I tell you, what did I tell you?" Benson asked. "Oh, oh, me, me!" Skips slams Pops' arm and Pops giggles. "Set 'em up Skips, you can't take none of this. Yeah, yeah yeah yeah!" Mordecai said. Skips slams Mordecai's arm.

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Everyone said again. "Oh, now me! Now me!" (Y/n) said. Skips' eyes widened a little. "Look kid, I don't want to hurt you, okay?" He asked, but she only smirks. "What? Don't think I can handle a little arm wrestling just cause I'm a girl?" She asked teasingly. Skips smirks a bit as well. "Well, if you want me to." He said. The two arm wrestle, and so far (Y/n) was able to keep him at bay the longest, but Skips slams her arm down like everyone else. "OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Everyone says again. "I gotta say, you got some skills, kid." Skips said. "Eh, you're the one who beat me." (Y/n) shrugs.

"Yeah, but you lasted longer than everyone else so far." Skips said, sounding a little impressed, and (Y/n) smirks. "I have my ways." She said. Everyone chants as Skips slams Hi Five Ghost. Skips slams Muscle Man. Everyone chants his name again. "Now me." Rigby said, and everyone laughs. "C'mon Skips, set 'em up." Rigby said. "Okay, I'll go easy on you." Skips clasps Rigby's hand. "This is gonna be hilarious. Okay, ready, go!" Benson said. Rigby slams Skips, and everyone looks shocked. "Enough! We're going again, I wasn't ready." Skips said. "Maybe. Or maybe you're just getting weak in your old age, gramps." Rigby said.

Skips and Rigby clasp hands. "Okay, ready, go!" Everyone chants 'go' and Rigby slams Skips. "Yeah, yeah yeah! Who's the strongest now? Two in a row!" Rigby said. Everyone cheers and leaves. Skips stays behind. "That was awesome, man." Mordecai said. "Yeah, how'd you do it?" (Y/n) asked. "It's all in the wrist. And also it's in the muscles. Maybe you and I should go next sometime, (Y/n)." Rigby said, and she smiles. "Sure." Later Skips is sitting on the front steps. "Hi, Skips. You sure did a bang up job at arm wrestling yesterday. You were beating everyone." Pops said, but when Skips didn't answer (Y/n) became concerned.  "Skips, what's wrong?" She asked softly. "I didn't beat Rigby." He said. "So? You're still the greatest arm wrestler I know." (Y/n) said. "I'm not the strongest anymore." He replied.

"Balderdash! You are the strongest person I know. You were just having a bad day." Pops said. "Maybe he's right, Skips. Maybe try asking Rigby for a rematch." (Y/n) said. "Yeah! Then you'll see who the strongest is." Pops giggles and walks away. "Skips," he turns to look at (Y/n). "Don't take this thing too hard, okay?" She asked. "It pains me to see you so down on yourself over one match." She said. Skips sighs. I''ll try." Later the trio are inside playing Guitar Dudes Reunion Tour. "Here comes the power move!" Mordecai presses a button on the guitar. The character on screen starts shredding his guitar and Mordecai laughs. "Guys, this is just like playing real guitar!" He said. "Check this out!" Rigby plays guitar behind his head. A buzzing sound plays. "No!" Rigby shouted.
