Mordecai and Anna are on the cart listening to Tag Team's "Whoomp! (There It Is)" while Mordecai is driving. "Whoomp, there it is! Whoomp, there it is! Whoomp, there it is!" The two sung. "Break down." Mordecai and Anna start break dancing and laughing. "Fun fact about me, I did a color-guard routine for this in the ninth grade." Anna said. "Uh, fun fact about me --
this song was on a mix tape I made in seventh grade titled "Maxin' and Relaxin'". I was the master at mix tapes. I'd pick a title, then put together a perfect mix. Like "Good Vibes and High Fives", "TV Watchin', Pizza Noshin'", "Mad Schoolin', Straight Foolin'" Mordecai said. "Wow. You were pretty cool, Mordecai." Anna said. "Yeah, I was." He grins. Mordecai stops the cart in front of Anna's apartment building. "I'd play them for you, but the tapes are all at my mom and dad's." Mordecai said.
"Dude, we should listen to them!" Anna said. "Sure, I could get them tomorrow maybe." Mordecai said. "I'd love to come along." Anna said. "You... wanna..." Mordecai said. "Come along to your parents' house! We can get the tapes, I could meet your parents..." She gasps. "I can meet your mom!" She said. "M... My mom?" Mordecai asked. Anna nods her head. "Ha-ha! I mean, why not?
We've been going out for a few months now, right? Why wouldn't you want to meet my mom? I mean, it's not like I can keep my mom from you forever!" Mordecai laughs nervously, then starts hyperventilating. "Great!" Anna kisses Mordecai on his cheek, then punches his shoulder. "Thanks for the dinner/movie." Anna gets out of the cart and runs toward her apartment while waving goodbye to Mordecai. "Yeah. Can't wait for you to meet my mom!"
At Pops' house, Rigby and (Y/n) are playing a video game while Mordecai sits next to (Y/n). "She can't meet my mom, dudes." (Y/n) rolls her eyes. "What's the big deal? Your mom's totally cool." Rigby said. "She's totally psycho." Mordecai said, and (Y/n) looks at him. "Psycho? That's a little harsh, don't ya think?" She asked. "No I don't! She'd always go out of her way to embarrass me whenever I had a girl over."
Mordecai said. "Yeah, but how many times did you have a girl over? Zero?" Rigby stops playing the game. "Was it zero times?" He asked, and (Y/n) laughs. "No! Remember Daphne Gonzales?" In a flashback, teenage Mordecai plays a mix tape called "Studyin' & Buddyin' Vol 2", then sits on his bed next to Daphne Gonzales. "Music?" Daphne asked. "Uh, yea-ah." Mordecai said. Daphne covers one of her ears. "It's loud." She said. Mordecai covers one of his ears and talks over the loud music. "Uh, so what did you get for question 12?" He asked.
Mordecai's mom kicks the door open and enters with a plate of snacks. "Hey, kids! Sorry I had to kick the door open. I-It was closed for some reason." She laughs. "This music! What's going on, a dance party?" Mordecai's mom starts dancing and moves toward the bed. Mordecai covers his face in embarrassment. "Come on, Mordy! Shake what your mama gave ya! Your butt, Mordy! I'm talking about your butt!" Hilary said. "What do you want, Mom?!" Mordecai asked. "I made some snacky-wackies for my wittle study buddies. Pigs in a blanket and, uh, prunes." She whispers to Daphne.
"The prunes are for Mordy, hon. Keeps him regular." She said. "Mom!" Mordecai shouted. "What? It does." She said. "Ugh! Okay, Mom, fine! Just leave now, alright?! Gosh!" Mordecai shouted. Hilary sets the plate down on a table. "Okay, okay, Mordy. I'll leave. It's just..." She turns to face Daphne with teary eyes. "Daphne, thank you." She said. "Uh, for what?" As Mordecai's mom speaks, Mordecai shakes his head for her to stop talking. "For being the first girl Mordecai's ever brought over!"
She picks up a video camera. "It's going on the tape! So tell me -- how do you like studying with my son? Tell me for the tape." She said. "I gotta go!" Daphne picks up her school bag and bolts out of the room. Mordecai collapses onto his bed in a fetal position, his face completely red. "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" The flashback ends. "So that's why Daphne wrote "I hope you're still eating your prunes, ha-ha!" in your yearbook." Rigby said. "Molly Sherman, Bernice Chan, Sasha Diaz -- none of them lasted a day with my mom." Mordecai said. Rigby and (Y/n) go back to playing their video game. "Sounds rough, man." Rigby said.
