CHAPTER THIRTY-SIX - PART ONE/TWO

ALYZZA FELIX TIANGCO'S POINT OF VIEW

"Number twenty-seven. Please, come to number three counter." sigaw ng announcer ng mga number, katrabaho ko.

"Good afternoon!" bati ng customer, pagkalapit niya. "I need to withdraw some cash and would also like to request a new checkbook."

"Good afternoon! Certainly, I can assist you with that. Could you please provide me with your account details and the amount you'd like to withdraw?" tanong ko.

Tiningnan ko siya at nginitian ko siya. Sobrang nakakapagod man sa trabaho pero kailangan kong ilaban 'to.

"Of course. Here are my account details. I'd like to withdraw twenty thousand in cash, please."

I nodded to him as I typed on the keyboard, looking at her account details. "Thank you, Mrs. Garcia. I'll process the withdrawal for you. While I'm doing that, may I ask if you have any specific preferences for your new checkbook, such as the design or the number of checks you'd like?"

"I'm not picky about the design, but I'd like a checkbook with a reasonable number of checks, maybe around fifty." Mrs. Garcia answered.

As an accountant, you should be more responsible with the money you handle. You are responsible for the details you see on the computer monitor because if something is wrong with just one, it needs to be fixed completely. This is how I work.

I smiled at her again and again.  "Noted. I'll check our available designs and ensure you receive a checkbook with the requested quantity. Additionally, would you like your checks personalized with your name and address?

"Yes, please. And can you confirm the current balance in my account while we're at it?" mabilis niyang sabi.

"Sure, Mrs. Garcia! I'll provide you with your account balance after processing the withdrawal. Your new checkbook, along with the personalized details, will be ready shortly." saad ko.

I carefully typed on the keyboard for a while, making sure to understand what the customer wanted. Then, I got the money they wanted to take out and asked my coworker to get them a new checkbook. I made sure to write down what type of checkbook they needed so I could give them exactly what they wanted.

"Come on," seryosong saad ni Mrs. Garcia. "After the competition, you can go home. Pangarap mo 'yan 'di ba? So, go for it. Ilaban mo."

"Your competition is coming soon. All of us friends and your family are here to support. Win or lose, we are still proud of you!" Mrs. said happily. Garcia.

"For sure, she will be able to watch it. It will be broadcast worldwide and then live on social media. Why didn't you introduce me to it before!" said Mrs. Garcia

"Hijo, it's been four years, but until now, you still mention her to us, you're still looking for her." biglang nagseryoso ang boses nito. "Paano ka niyan magaasawa kung siya pa rin."
