That Same Day.

It felt odd, seeing things being taken out of Harvey's office for his new one. I liked the original one. His million records, the vinyl player, autographed basketballs, the black sofa couch. I slowly walked to see an empty office. Nothing in sight...except a wrapped up portrait. Probably the last thing they're taking out. I walked and uncovered the wrapping to see this:

I smiled warmly. It reminded me of the old painting my Mom kept all these years. A little girl in a yellow raincoat, playing in a mud puddle with her puppy. I wonder if it's still hanged up at their house. I traced my finger across the little girl's face. Raising Avery never made me forgotten I liked painting. She would always come home with a drawing. Even like painting and drawing with me. It brought me closer to home. Perhaps this painting brings Harvey close to home. "Elizabeth?" A familiar voice spoke. I slightly jumped and turned around. Harvey. "Hey, I was looking for you. Just happened to forget you're moving." I partially lied. His attention went to the painting for a moment. I cleared my throat awkwardly. "I found it. The painting. They must've forgotten it." I told him. His eyes traced back to mine. "Oh. Thanks." He said, frowning. I honestly prayed this doesn't go more awkward. My brain clicked, remembering Avery. "Um....I need a favor." I blurted. Harvey shrugged. "Anything." He said. I inhaled a deep breath. "Ok. This ain't easy for me to say. Maya and I have plans this weekend and I'm asking if you could watch Avery." I said through gritted teeth. "Why can Donna do it?" He quickly asked. I crossed my arms. "Like I said, we have plans." I sassed. He hummed in response while shoving his hands in his pockets. "Lucky for you, I enjoy talking to Avery. But aren't you forgetting the last times I babysat?" He said. I playfully rolled my eyes. "Harvey, she was a baby. Things are different. Besides you got that suit dry cleaned." I said, smiling. He huffed. "Even when I'm trying to take down Hardman?" He asked. I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "The firm isn't going anywhere for two days." I said. He inhaled a deep breath. "What time? And tell me if she's a handful." He asked. I nodded my head no. "Saturday, 9pm. She isn't a handful and you damn there know it." I told him. Harvey scoffed in disbelief. I lifted up my finger. "But I'll tell you this. No allergies, she must take her vitamin after breakfast, her bedtime is at ten sharp. I usually bathe her at five. She'll have her reading book and some toys." I said. He nodded in understanding. "Anything else?" He asked sarcastically. I fake smiled. "Don't. Spoil. Her. A lot." I said in a serious tone. Harvey grinned innocently. "You have my word Parker." He said before turning away. I mentally groaned. Who I'm kidding? He's gonna do it anyway. After all, he's done it whenever he watched her.

Next Morning.

Taking an elevator to Harvey's new office is I'll admit, slower than faster to his upper one. It's freaking four walls! While holding the pile of files, I saw Donna sitting in his office. The place was practically the associates's bullpen. I continued walking and entered. Harvey looked up from his laptop. "Hey. You brought them all?" He asked. I nodded and put them on his desk. My eyes scanned the whole room distastefully. Yup, I preferred his original office. "Anything else?" I asked kindly. He smiled. "No." He answered. I'm not even gonna bother if Donna's probably smirking. Louis slowly creeped in. I mentally huffed. He smiled. "Do my ears deceit me? It appears that you're actually doing the task that you've been assigned." He spoke. "Both you want to kiss my ass?" Harvey growled, looking up. "I sense frustration. Case too much? Can't handle all these numbers?" He asked sarcastically. "Louis, just because financial cases bore me doesn't mean I can't do them in my sleep." He said annoyedly. I sighed and almost walked out. "Wait, Elizabeth. Need to check your work." He told me before approaching his desk. Ugh, damn it! Why me?! I stayed behind as he picked up a file. "Well, did you remember to do this?" He asked. "I didn't have to because I did that." He said, referring to the files I brought. "Well, that means that you have to—Harvey cut me off. "Replace the custodian, have an alternate show precedence, generate cash flow projections, and have everything audited by an experienced fiduciary?" He finished. Louis smiled smugly. "Impressive. Well, I'll review these for court, 4:00PM today where you will be my second chair. Did I forget to mention that? My bad. Oh, and if you want to pick up some coffee, I take mine with cream and stevia." He said and walked past me. "You've been doing really well Liz. You and Maya get your bonus checks today." He whispered, continuing his way out. My jaw slowly dropped. Louis and Hardman are acting like Godzilla and King Kong but hard work pays off whatsoever. The angered face of Harvey never left as he turned his chair. "Would you like me to put that in your calendar?" Donna asked. He got up and angrily threw a cup to the wall. My eyes widened in shock. "I will take that as a no." She muttered. His violent reaction sent chills down my spine. I immediately walked out and ignored my shaken legs. The violent bursts of someone startles me after years of my brother's violent outbursts because of his depression.

Maya breathed a breath of relief. "Thank god! It's Friday!" She spoke. I laughed. "TGIF!" I joked. We chuckled. "Last Friday night, yeah we danced on table tops and we took too many shots, think we kissed but I forgot! Last Friday night! We maxed our credit cards and got kicked out of the bar so we hit the boulevard, last Friday night. " We playfully sung and snickered. "Do it all again!" Avery sung while leaving her room. We bursted into laughter. "Speaking of again, you need a bath. Harvey will pick you up tomorrow morning and you have to pack your bag." I told her. She nodded obediently, going back to her room. Maya's jaw dropped. "Liz, how many times you're gonna leave her with—I cut her off. "Need to. Rachel and Donna will be with us all weekend. I can't leave her with Mike when he's dealing with a loss. No other options." I explained. She sighed. "At least he said yes." She said, shrugging. I nodded and went to help Avery pack.

Bath, laundry, binge-watching, showering was enough to exhaust me. Avery fell asleep and I carried her to bed. Maya went to her room. Being the nightowl I am, I chilled and read online books. The doorbell suddenly ringed. The hell? Who would be here at 10pm? I inhaled a deep breath while rolling out of bed. No worries, no worries. Their doors were closed. Yes! I quietly walked downstairs and peeked through the window. My eyes widened shockingly. What the—?! I unlocked the door, letting Harvey come in. "Harvey, what the hell are you doing here this late?! Everybody sleep!" I whispered/yelled. I studied his weird state. This became too familiar cause my brother done it. I put his chin up gently. "Are you high?" I immediately asked. He scoffed, walking about. "I am...just...a little stoned." He slurred. I huffed and rubbed my hair. "And you rode yourself all the way here? Were you just smoking a joint in a cab?" I growled. Harvey smirked. "I came from Mike's apartment." He told me. Figures. Two idiots getting stoned during this time of night. I fake smiled. "Avery's asleep so keep your mouth quiet." I whispered. His eyes diverted to a picture frame of Avery at DisneyWorld. He grinned cutely. "Aww, she got little mouse ears...so adorable...I love that kid." He said. I madly blushed. Harvey walked up to me. "Know what else I love? Your presence." He whispered lustfully. Butterflies jumped up my belly. I parted from him awkwardly. "Harvey, stop. You stink and smell like weed." I said. He shrugged innocently. "Doesn't mean you do." He flirted. My cheeks burned crazily. He pretended to check his 'nonexistent' watch and groaned. "Oh...I should go. It's getting late." He told me. Many refusal answers roamed my mind. The important reason is he can't walk around the streets like this. New York also has rough spots. Not to mention he needs to watch Avery tomorrow. Maya will instantly flip if she sees him in the morning. Yet I don't care because where else he'll go? I nodded my head no. "You are not leaving. It's way too late and too dangerous. You'll crash here tonight." I said firmly. Harvey began unfolding his tie and taking off his jacket. "Can I use the couch?" He asked quietly. I scoffed. "Yeah. Where else?" I sassed. He hid an amusing grin before lying down on the couch. I wrapped the blanket on him. His eyes were barely opening. "Elizabeth?" He called softly. I turned around. "You...are so...so...." He trailed off and fell asleep. I looked down while blushing. Men.
