Based loosely on the story of Orpheus and Eurydice.

I apologize for the sad ending, but I hope you enjoy this one!

Description: When Happy loses the girl of his dreams he's given once chance to bring her back. He must make an impossible decision.

I looked around at the dark room I was in. Something was wrong. I couldn't place it. I had been out in a park with some friends celebrating that Happy and I were getting married the following day.

I tried to remember what had happened but my head was throbbing at the temple like I'd been hit. My eyes were starting to adjust. I wasn't alone in the room. There was someone lurking in the corner dressed in all black. I could see the faintest outline of a door a few feet away from him.

"Where am I?" I asked, my voice hoarse.

There was no answer. The man didn't even move, making me wonder if I was concussed and hallucinating.

A red light flashed a few feet to my left in my peripheral vision. My eyes snapped to it and even in the dark I could see the camera on a tripod.

I closed my eyes and tried to think my way out of here. My hands were bound and my legs were numb. I wasn't getting anywhere.

I tried to pray to whatever god was listening that Happy would find me. We were supposed to be married so he would definitely know I was missing. He would come looking for me. He had to.

It felt like hours I sat there, waiting. I dozed off a couple more times. But I fought to stay awake. I didn't want to risk falling asleep and putting myself in danger.

I don't know how long it had been when I was woken up with a boot to the ribs. I groaned and looked up at the man. The one who had been lurking in the corner.

"Let's go." I stood up carefully and he grabbed my wrists where they were bound together.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked softly.

He just dragged me into the hallway and down to another room. I tried to remember where I was going so that I could find my way out of here.

"Where is she?" His voice carried like you wouldn't believe when he was angry. I swear I used to be able to hear him at home when he yelled at the clubhouse.

"She's alive, for now."

I didn't know that voice but the anger matched Happy's.

"What do you want?"

I tried to break my hands free from the grip the guard had on them but I couldn't.

"You need to do me a favor," the other voice said.

"The only thing I will do is kill you if you don't give her back."

There was a loud sigh and a soft click. They had a gun on Happy.

I screamed as loud as I could and it immediately sounded like there was a struggle.

"Let her go."

"Not until you do what I ask."

"Not until you give me my old lady."

A light flicked on and I could suddenly see Happy and the man arguing with him. Happy's hands were bound behind him. He looked like he hadn't slept for days, and my guess was that he didn't. He was whole though and so was I. We would make it out of this. We had to.

I screamed his name and his eyes turned towards me. I could tell he couldn't see me. His eyes didn't focus on me the way they should have.

"Whatever you want, I'll do it," I said. "Just let him go."
