Chapter 24

So I'm an impatient little fuck so I'm updating. VERY IMPORTANT AUTHORS NOTE AT THE END OF CHAPTER. PLEASE READ IT!!!!

I hadn't gotten the role. Just a few days ago I received an email thanking me for my audition but I hadn't been chosen. I knew I wouldn't have been good enough.

So for the past few days as the end of April arrived, I was job hunting. My goal on getting a job for when after I graduate still stands and I hope by some miracle I can find something.

As of now I had no luck but of course, Vic had to come into the picture and surprise me.

"You can put your laptop away for now." He said, taking a seat beside me on the black leather couch.

I was over at his house - like usual - but I was just trying to spend as much time as I could with him before his business trip. He leaves in just three days and I know that I'm gonna miss not only his face, but just talking to him. Yeah, I'm too fucking attached.

"Why?" I asked curiously.

Vic flashed me a wide grin, leaving me to wonder what he was up to.

"I might of found a job opening you'd be interested in." He said, making me raise my eyebrows.

"What? No way!" I said completely excited.

"Yeah, it's for this Musical Theater performance. There's this spot open for a male dancer because the previous one got injured. I don't know if your interested in that kind of stuff but it's an idea."

"Are you kidding me! That seems great." I said, feeling myself fill with happiness. "And you found this?"

"Well, I started out the search at first but I was really busy and kind of left it to my assistant, Madison."

"Oh, well thank you and I should also thank your assistant." I said with a small chuckle. "But it really means a lot that you did that for me, Vic."

"It's no problem, babe. If I can help you in something, I will so don't be afraid to ask for my help."

I nodded and couldn't help but throw my arms around him.

"The audition for the part is May 3rd, which is by the time I'll be on the trip. You need to prepare some sort of dance routine of four minutes long. I don't know a lot of information but I'll make my assistant send you all of it. And I made her tell them a lot about you - like your experience and stuff - and they seem pretty interested."

"Really? That's great, thank you so much!"

"I'm positive you're going to get the part." He said on my neck before placing a small kiss there.

"I hope I'm good enough," I said with a small unwanted frown.

"You are good enough. Don't say that you aren't." He said and caressed my cheek.

I didn't fully believe his words but that's just my insecurity talking.

"Okay," I said before placing my lips on his.

I had prepared a small little surprise for Vic. You can say that it was almost a little goodbye gift since he leaves early in the morning tomorrow - even though he won't be gone for long - but it was also to thank him for getting me that audition. I haven't gotten the part or anything, but I'm just so happy that he did that for me. Even if I don't get the role, I'll still be grateful for his help.

I had a wave of déjà vu wash over me as I entered the room where I first danced for Vic. The pole was still here which was perfect. I hadn't really came inside this room ever since that night because I never had to. But tonight it'll be put to good use.
