Days passed and there was no sign of change so far. I know it saddened Vic and Mike to see their father in the same state, and what made it worse is that they didn't know how long this would last. Doctors couldn't do anything, so Vic started to schedule air transportation for his father. He wanted his father in San Diego as soon as possible.

It was Friday but the next available time they could take his father up would be Monday. Vic wasn't too happy about it but he couldn't exactly do much about it.

As the day went by, I swiftly typed away an Essay that was due Monday. I hated essays - especially persuasive essays - but I was almost finished with it. My professors responded to my email but unfortunately one wasn't too keen on the fact that I was missing class since finals were close. He wasn't helpful at all and was actually stressing me out. Fortunately the others were understandable.

Just as I started to think of how to end my sentence, my phone started to ring. When I saw the caller ID, my eyes almost popped out of my head. I quickly took my phone and walked out of the room to answer the call.

"Hello." I said, trying to hide the excitement from my voice.

Please tell me I got the part!

"Kellin Quinn?" The director, Santiago asked.

"Yes, this is him speaking."

"Great! We'll I'm just calling to congratulate you, Mr. Quinn. You got the part!" He said, making me almost jump.

"Are you serious!" I practically squealed.

"If I wasn't, would I be making this call?"

"Maybe if you were a jerk." I joked, getting a laugh out of the director.

"No, Mr. Quinn. I don't roll that way."

I couldn't drop the grin from my face. I had done it! I have the part!

"Oh my god, well thank you so much! This is huge for me, and it really means a lot that you chose me."

"Well you were the best to audition so how could I not give you the part? You are very talented, Mr. Quinn."

I turned rosy pink. He just called me very talented!

"Thank you, Mr. Gomez."

"From now on, you'll need to call me Santiago. Understood?" He asked and I nodded even though he couldn't see.

"Alright, Santiago."

"Okay so I'll need to meet with you a few days before our first official practice just for you to sign the official contract and other papers." He said and he proceeded to give me the address of his office. I wrote it down on my notepad but something caught my attention.

"Wait, your office is in Los Angeles?"

"Yes? I mean, this is where everything is taking place."

Right then and there I did a double take.

"Wait, I thought this was being held in San Diego. That's why the auditions were here," I said with an arched eyebrow.

"Mr. Quinn I think you've misread the guidelines." He said, making me even more confused.

Vic had told me that this was for here. . .I mean, I hadn't exactly read all the information but I could've sworn it said that it was being held in San Diego.

"Wait, but then why were auditions held in San Diego?" I asked.

There must be some confusion.

"Well there were several auditions set in different locations. The overall production is being held in Los Angeles."
