|Sun's POV|
Hour after hour pasted, and Moonie and I kept up hope. At least, Moonie did. I on the other hand, had none. I knew Eclipse would die, I knew since the day I altered their memories to forget how much of a dickhead I was to Moonie when they first arrived. It was even in the paper, Eclipse's disappearance I mean.
On the day I found Eclipse, they had escaped their old location due to a fire and passed out in the alley beside the plex, where i found them. Once the restaurant was rebuilt, they went on a hunt for the bots who were supposed to be in a bunker. When they saw that Eclipse was gone, they shut down their entire coding. It was in the news because they were discontinuing all Eclipse models from other locations to minimize other franchises stealing them too.
I know I should of told someone, I know I should have told Eclipse themselves about it but I didn't... I was afraid of something like this happening. And now it has, all because i was--
"Quiet...like way too quiet. You ok?" Moon finished asking, his tear shiny ruby eyes staring into my numbed grey ones. I blinked back into focus before smiling weakly. "As ok as one can be when your second partner killed themselves whilst you were cuddling your first adorable boyfriend." I tried to lighten up the mood, kissing him. He kissed back, pulling away when Poppy cleared her throat.
She chuckled before her expression goes back to a negative one. "Unfortunately, there is no way I or any other mechanic can fix Eclipse...I'm sorry"
Moon was in bed, sobbing. He's been crying for the last hour or so, my tears dried up 30 minutes ago. Since Moonie was too upset, i was left to pack Clipsy's stuff alone. All of the pictures of them from our dates, any drawings from the kids... even the gifts they had from us from their one year at Fazbear anniversary. Item after item, memories flooded me. When I reached a specific one, I nearly broke down. It was a Christmas bauble, a shiny red and gold one. It had glittery snowflakes shakily drawn on and a lovely silver bow by its string. With trembling hands, I i set it inside the 'Tree Decor' box and resumed organizing.
"Moonie?...You feeling better now?" I peeked into the bedroom. He was hugging Eclipse's pillow, tears staining the pastel orange cover. He whined weakly, hiding his face. With a sigh, I gentle closed the door and sat beside him, rubbing his side. "Hey... I know this is rough, especially at this time of year. But, do you wanna decorate the tree? Could take your mind off this whole thing, hm?"
|Moon's POV|
I stared at Sunny, blinking my last few tears away as some escaped and rolled down my cheeks onto the pillow tight within my embrace. Some Christmas decorating does sound nice, but i wish Clipsy was here to do it with us... I gave a nod, feeling myself be picked up and a kiss being planted on my nose. "C'mon Dewdrop, our tree awaits"
We glided down to the daycare entrance, leaving the daycare to head to the entry point of our overall area. Near our golden statues was a tall fern tree, directly in front of them. Sunny set the box of baubles, string lights and tinsel down before cracking his robotic knuckles. "You ready for a lil' completion? you decorate the side by your statue and I'll decorate my side, whichever side the kids like best next week is the winner and gets unlimited Christmas snuggles, m'kay?" Sun nudged me with a cocky smirk. With a soft giggle on my voice box, i smiled and nodded. "Sure Sunny, you're on"
We set a timer as well as some Christmas tunes before beginning. I started off with lights whilst Sun started with baubles. What a fool, everyone knows it goes Lights, baubles, tinsel when you decorate a tree. The colour i chose was a lovely shade of teal and lilac, matching my color palate. When you decorate, you must have a theme. I tend to use my own colour scheme as it's the one I'm most familiar with all the complimentary shades.
As we decorated our sides, I noticed a small red one sitting admis the others. It looked hand-made, like something a child would have done during a arts & crafts session. I was quite cute, but it didn't fit my theme, though it did Sunny's. I continued decorating without a care in the world until the 'By the Seaside' sound buzzed through my audio receptors. With a pause, i looked over to Sun who placed the small snowflake decorated red bauble on the highest branch. "D-Done..." He stuttered, taking my hand and hugging me.
"Hey, we ok?" I asked, rubbing his back as he stayed silent. He nodded as he kissed my neck pipe. "Tired... can we cuddle?" A smile crept onto my face, kissing his temple "Sure Sunshine."
Blankets surrounded us in a lovely comforting hug, muffling the sounds of Brooklyn 99 that emitted from our newly installed Tv (A gift from the glamrocks for planning the Christmas Eve party). Sunny's face was hidden in my chest as he napped peacefully. He rarely naps but when he does it's quite wholesome to see. He tends to curl around me and use me like a pillow almost, a nice and cozy pillow.
"...Moonie..."
I looked down to see a groggy Sun staring at me in awe. "...Do I have something on my face?" I asked, touching my cheek. He out his hand on top of mine. "you're so pretty...like a starry sky." He smiled lazily, his compliment making me blush. "Your eyes are like cherry shaped rubies, so shiny and mesmerizing. I could just stare into them for hours...hehe"
