The End?...

|Moon's POV|

The remodeling of the daycare took far longer than expected, lasting around 2 weeks longer than the predicted end date. No one knows why, since the builders won't say anything. But, at last, they finished, and Sunny and I moved back in. Our shared living space behind the stage was more spacious, as was the main play area, and they even added a new room! Albeit it was just a storage room, but it's the thought that counts. One thing we did notice, however, was all the exposed wiring in the ceiling. We asked why, but once again we weren't told shit.

"I don't think those are safe..." I whisper to Sun, who nodded in agreement as we share a stare at the ceiling. The wires and cables leading from the new ceiling fan to the power generator in the storage are visible, a few having worn out insulation on the outside. He tilts his head, following one the blue wires. "...We gotta report this to the highers, that is a fire hazard!' He rubs his forehead, rays twirling to emphasis his frustration. I giggle before returning to a serious mood. Fire is no laughing matter, and if one starts in the daycare, who knows what mayhem could ensue.

Sun slams his hands on the oak desk of the CEO, nearly causing the wood of it to splinter. "The FUCK do you mean, you can't "FiX iT"?!" He snaps, right eye twitching. I flinch back, as does Mr.Fazbear (Obviously not his name, just a stage name), and he clears his throat with a cough. "Sundrop, no need for violence. Our wonderful builders have done the best they can, and they assured us that no electrical combustions will occur between now and two weeks in the future. They do have plans of covering the wires, however they are far too preoccupied with finishing the renovations within the rest of plex. If you two are worried, however, I can offer you the room you two were previously relocated two during the daycare reconstruction. Unfortunately, that is the best I can offer as of now."

He scoffs at the clear carelessness in the boss's  voice, crossing his arms. "If a fire sparks, YOU are done. Am i clear?" Sun spits towards the other, inches away from his face. I watch as he nods at sunny's words before he stands straight and leads me back to our room.

"Is this safe?
Looking up, i see a weakly ductaped piece of plastic wrapped around the wires that lined the edges between the walls and ceiling. A...nice job by Sun, i guess, but one that looked close to dropping to the floor. Sun just nods at me, a proud smirk on his face as he dusts his hands of micro plastic dust. "A fine piece of work if i do say so myself." He chuckles, hugging my side. His face beams with glee in his accomplishment, but i have my doubts...

"Ok, let's just... not touch that until it's done properly, ok?" I sheepishly shuffte away from the mess of wires, moving over to my bed. Sun shrugs and goes to his desk. "Suit yourself."

|Sun's POV|

A few hours pass, and everything is fine! No sparks, no crackles— none of that. Personally, I think I did a splendid job at fixing something those stupid builders couldn't do. I know it's not professional level, but for the time being it will make do. And it did! We would plan daycare activities and play scenarios in that room, and whilst yes, Moonie was nervous to be around it, he too warms up to it.

Moonie and I take care of the kids, smiling and giggling along with them as they explored the many offered activities. It was a cozy yet chaotic scene, a normal for the daycare, and neither of us would change that. As I'm helping one of the littler kids do some basic finger painting, one of the Olders- a girl who I recognize to be Annie- taps me on the shoulder. "Yes dear?" I ask as she sniffles and grimaces. "I smell something icky from up there." She whines, pointing a marker marked finger up to our rooms. Since my attention was up there, I do smell something off. It is bitter and strong, like charcoal. "Huh..." I whisper under my breath. That's when I see it.
