before i went home that day i went and looked for nancy.

i found her by the cafeteria and saw her sitting down looking over her laptop.

"nancy."

she looked up, smiled then wiped the corners of her mouth with a napkin.

"yes indigo?"

"i know dallas is on probation from leaving the hospital without his family, but can he have thanksgiving at my house?"

she looked down for a moment and wiped her hands on her pants.

"now that i think about it, maybe that punishment was a little too harsh seeing as though he doesn't really have much family besides his grandmother."

"what about his parents?"

she looked up and a look of guilt reached her face.

"dear, i'm afraid i've said too much. but he is welcomed to accompany your family on thanksgiving day."

"thank you."

"and thank you for everything you've done for this hospital, you've been really helpful."

i smiled and bid her a goodbye.

dallas is one mystery.
