i really hate hospitals.

it was depressing for obvious reasons, death constantly lurking upon the halls.

reminding the sick that it could be their fate at any point in time.

i liked to think my condition was as simple as just a seizure.

it's not like i had cancer, a brain tumor or some life altering disability.

but this seizure just so happened to occur when i was behind the wheel and i was in an extreme amount of pain.

i opened my eyes and groaned.

"blue." he said in a soft voice.

dallas rushed to my side in a panic, holding my hand.

"where you crying?" i asked, noticing his wet cheeks.

he ignored me.

"blue. are okay?" he asked caressing my cheek.

"i think so."

he sighed a sigh of relief and tensed up, angry.

"blue, your a real idiot. do you know that?"

"it's been stated before."

"why did you go behind the wheel?"

i felt my head, the movements making my body ache.

"what's going on?"

"i had to call off my surgery because i couldn't leave knowing you were hurt."

i sat up as i realized that i missed my appointment with dr.collins.

"oh my god, i missed it. i missed my fucking surgery."

"what surgery?"

"my lung surgery."

his eye wided in realization.

"no. no fucking way."

i locked eyes on him, letting him know that what he was thinking was indeed true.

"so you could have died all because of me?"

"no, this isn't your fault."

"so it was you? i was going to receive your lung?"

"yes."

"i said no, i can't believe you. why would you do that?"

"because."

"i guess it wasn't worth it, was it? because you nearly died and i'm not getting a lung, especially from you."

"not exactly." dr. collins appeared out of nowhere taking off a pair of gloves.

"dr.collins." i said in a raspy voice.

"indigo, i'm sorry about your condition. i do hope you recover to the fullest potential."

"thank you, but what do you mean "not exactly?"

"it's confidential, but under the circumstances and the fact that he's your father-"

"what?"

"yes, you see, your father asked to be tested as well and he was a match. not a surprise since you were. but i just finished surgery on him."

"that means-"

"yes, that means dallas is getting your fathers lung."
