Dear friends...

Daniel watched.

She was gone.

Just a few seconds ago, she'd been there.

He looked down into the crevice as the Earth gave another jolt.

He quickly recollected himself.

Juneau wasn't gone yet.

~~~
Her mind was a jumble of thoughts.
She couldn't do anything.
She was going to die.
She watched, backside to the ground, as the jagged line of sunlight slowly left her vision.
The air whipped past her entire self, bringing chills throughout her entire body.
It was dark now.
She couldn't see anything.
Not even her brown hair which whipped like ribbons past her face as she fell.
She thought.
She'd said goodbye to both her mother and sister. She'd never fought with them her entire life, so perhaps it was alright.
She didn't have any regrets.
Although she did enjoy the idea of going to college.
...
But she hadn't been able to do that.
She was just a high schooler.
She hadn't begun her undergrad yet.
A tear flew from her face.
Then another.
And another.
Suddenly, it began feeling warm.
Orange light hugged the rocky sides of the Earth.
Juneau slowly looked down mid flight.
Her eyes widened.
Hot magma lay beneath her.
And the temperature was growing drastically!
She was going to die from the heat before landing in the substance.
She knew it.
More tears flew.
She thought:
If there's one thing I regret
It'd be
Never having told my friends
How much
I love them.
Juneau forced her eyes shut as she fell into the hole of glitter.
...
It was cold.
I made this chapter shorter because I felt that this was a good length.
Happy New Years, everyone!
Just thought I'd say that (:
