Daniel Seokjin Cheshire^^

That'd been the first time Daniel had ever opened two simultaneously.

He could feel it beneath him.

He forced it asleep.

The secondary black hole was now inactive.

He looked around.

Everyone had already been taken to safety.

He shut the other one asleep.

There were still many other regions of Cupertino, though.

He thought of lamb kebabs.

And the black hole reawakened.

How relieved he was, having been able to open up another black hole right before Juneau's death.

If she'd died, then...

Everyone's lives would've changed, and in large ways.

Juneau was an important figure, was she not?

"Juneau!" April ran across the school board office parking lot with outstretched arms. Her face was red and covered with rivers of tears.

Juneau looked frantically about. Everyone was outside.

And everything looked perfectly fine.

The parked cars were perfectly fine.

"Where are we?" Juneau asked as she was then pulled in by April.

"I don't know," April's voice croaked. "I don't know, I don't know, but you're safe, oh God, look at me," April pleaded through her tears desperately, then cupping the face of her still confused Juneau. "I don't know what I would've done. I look forward to your letters every week and I always look forward to seeing you and mum every winter, it wouldn't have been the same. Jesus Christ, I probably would've dropped out. I love you just that much, June, you're my little sister and I don't kno-" April cupped her own mouth as another painful sounding croak exited.

Imagining pain was simply too much for her.

"June!" She erupted again in another round of tears as she threw her arms around Juneau.

Juneau didn't seem to hear her as she stared at the undisturbed concrete ground.

She'd almost died.

She was just nearing the center of the Earth.

She was just there.

She was just a few miles away from her last breath.

She...

What had saved her?

She began tearing up herself, but she remained limp. Her tears came silently.

She looked up to the sky.

How had the entire world regained itself?

Cries of relief and conciliation could be heard from all around.

The trees' leaves rustled faintly.
