-Emily-

I walked down the stairs, taping my glasses back together. Sighing out, I held them out over my eyes. Squinting, I added more tape to my glasses. Slipping them on, I looked over at Kelley and the little Rampone's. She was tickling Rylie, as Reece was wrapped around her leg. I smiled, and continued down the stairs.

"Okay, okay I surrender." Kelley said, flopping down onto the couch. Rylie and Reece sat on her back, raising their hands above their heads in victory. Smiling, I walked over to them.

"Ry, Reece, let's go get dinner. Come on." I said, extending my hands to Reece. She stood up on Kelley's back, and jumped into my arms. I caught her, propping her up on my hip. Rylie ran into the kitchen, taking a seat at the island. Sitting Reece down on the counter, I continued to make the grilled cheese I was making earlier.

"Aunt Emily?" Reece asked.

"Yah sweetie?" I questioned, smiling at her.

"Will you sing to us?" She asked, and I nodded.

"Sure, sure I will." I said, and then began to think of songs I could sing.

Smiling, I started patting my hands against the counter. The beat of the song began to form, as I watched the grilled cheese. I then began to sing.

"Breathe out, breathe in
American oxygen
Every breath I breathe
Chasin' this American Dream
We sweat for a nickel and a dime
Turn it into an empire
Breathe in, this feeling
American, American oxygen
American oxygen
Breathe in, this feeling
American, American oxygen

Oh say can you see, this is the American Dream
Young girl, hustlin'
On the other side of the ocean
You can be anything at all
In America, America
I say, can't see
Just close your eyes and breathe

Breathe out, breathe in
American oxygen
Every breath I breathe
Chasin' this American Dream
We sweat for a nickel and a dime
Turn it into an empire
Breathe in, this feeling
American, American oxygen
American oxygen
Breathe in, this feeling
American, American oxygen
American oxygen
Breathe in, this feeling
American, American oxygen

Oh say can you see, this is the American Dream
Young boy, hustlin'
Tryna get the wheels in motion
But he can be anything at all
In America, America
I say, can't see
Just close your eyes and breathe

Breathe out, breathe in
American oxygen
Every breath I breathe
Chasin' this American Dream
We sweat for a nickel and a dime
Turn it into an empire
Breathe in, this feeling
American, American oxygen

This is the new America
We are the new America
This is the new America
We are the new America
This is the new America
We are the new America
This is the new America
We are the new America

Breathe out, breathe in
American oxygen
Every breath I breathe
Chasin' this American Dream
We sweat for a nickel and a dime
Turn it into an empire
Breathe in, this feeling
American, American oxygen
American oxygen
Breathe in, this feeling
American, American oxygen
American oxygen
Breathe in, this feeling
American, American oxygen

This is the new America
We are the new America
This is the new America
We are the new America."

I smiled, as I hummed out the rest of the song. Placing Rylie's and Reece's grilled cheeses on separate places, I cut them in fours. Picking Reece up, I moved her to sit beside her sister. She smiled at me, as I sang one last line to her.
