Okay, so I'll just start by saying that not a lot happens in this chapter?
I'm not going to lie, but literally 3,000 words is just a backstory (which I made up but added other elements of Arthurian, Celtic and Irish legends into it).
So, if you do find it boring, you could just skip it to the end...(sorry, not sorry!)
- Sassenach - a derogatory word from Scotland referring to an English person. It comes from the word 'Saxon'. To be honest with you, if you called me a Sassenach, I wouldn't be that offended. It sounds cool! XD
- Buyids - An Islamic dynasty that emerged in what is now Iran. Eret mentions them...later on.
- Treasa of Laighin - Treasa is an feminine Irish name pronounced 'TRA-sa' and 'Laighin' was a petty Kingdom of Ireland in the south-east coast. It's pronounced 'Li-ohn'.
