CHAPTER 41 - A NOBLE SACRIFICE

Freya connected to Ada. She sensed her distress so got into her mind.

Once the potion that Magnus had thrown on her and Merlin had worn off, Freya instantly felt Ada's distress.

She rummaged through her mind, and she had all the information she needed.

Ada had done well – but she was now in trouble.

She looked at Hiccup's portrait and concentrated on him.

She didn't say anything but hoped he could hear her as she repeated to him everything Ada had found out.

And she felt the pain in Hiccup as he was told.

Morgana was leading the dragons to their doom in order to weaken Berk.

The disappearing and missing dragons were all Morgana.

Every dragon she sacrificed, awoke another person for her undead army to destroy the archipelago and undo everything Uther achieved.

Hiccup felt his heartache at the thought of the dragons dying and he hated it.

This had to end.

Mordred appeared in a flash of smoke before his mother who was watching the action on Berk from a giant crystal ball.

"What?" Mordred was confused as Morgana didn't look at him.

"You let your guard down..." She said simply as Mordred frowned.

"What?" He shook his head. "Send me back...now!"

"No!" Morgana cried, waving her hand and sending her son smashing into the floor. "You are not going anywhere."

"Mother!" He cried.

"Do not 'Mother' me!" Morgana cried. "You were not supposed to drop your guard and then her! That...girl I always told you was bad news!"

"You knew who she was, didn't you?" Mordred asked as Morgana nodded.

"I know everything so of course I knew who she was!"

Mordred frowned and slowly got up. "Then why me being with her is such a bad thing?"

"Because your heart as is everyone's heart is a weak thing. Once it attaches to something, it is difficult to let go..." Morgana snapped. "I warned you to stay away from her but you didn't listen and now your heart is attached to her and she doesn't care for you!"

"That's not true!" Mordred cried as Morgana waved her hand over the crystal ball.

"She was using your Mordred!" Morgana said. "She doesn't care about you, not since she found out who you are..." She gestured to the crystal ball, Mordred watched the scene.

He saw Ada with Tuffnut, the two of them talking and they shared a kiss before she ran from him and he ran back towards the plaza.

It was moments before she came to the beach and confronted him and seduced him with lies.

Mordred looked away as Morgana raised her eyebrows. "Now do you believe me. She was always bad news and while I wanted you to find out everything about her..."
