CHAPTER 23 - A PIRATE'S LIFE FOR ME

*SOMEWHERE IN THE MEDITERRANEAN SEA*

OMNISCIENT POV

"The King and his men...stole the Queen from her bed...and bound her in her bones...the seas be ours and by the powers...where we will we'll roam...Yo ho, all hands...Hoist the colors high...Heave ho, thieves and beggars...Never shall we die..."

The captain looked at her crew as they sang the pirate anthem. She smiled at them, before turning back to her map, her First Mate next to her.

"So?" She asked her captain, who stood up.

"He was last reported to being on an island north of Caledonia..." She gestured to the area on the map. "It's our best bet in finding him."

"You think he will pay up?"

The Captain shook her head. "No...but we loot that island until we get everything back. He ruined us when he stole that bounty from us. He is going to pay for it, one way or another."

"Why have you never made him pay for it before? You've met a few times after he stole from us..." The First Mate questioned and the Captain sighed. 

"I was in the forgiving mood. Now...I want it back..." 

"Shall we set course?" The First Mate asked and the captain nodded, walking to the wooden railings, looking down at her crew at work.

"Yes..." She said simply as the order were given and the crew got to work.

"Isle of Berk...here we come."

*BERK*

Skullcrusher and Firecracker cawed from the sky as they landed in the plaza, Eret and Heather climbing off the respective backs of their dragons.

"Home sweet home..." Heather sighed, stretching out her hands as Eret wrapped his arms around her and kissed her cheek.

"And now life begins...as husband and wife..." They faced each other as Heather smiled, their foreheads touching.

Before she suddenly frowned and looked away. "Where in Helheim is everyone?" She asked and Eret was confused too.

They headed to the Great Hall, hand in hand, and as the doors swung open, feathers and ribbons fell from the ceiling.

"Welcome home!" The Berkians cheered as Heather and Eret laughed at the surprise.

"Thank you!" They walked over to the riders and greeted each of them, thanking them for the surprise.

"We're so happy you're back!" Astrid smiled as Heather beamed.

"And we're glad to be back! Leon was fun, but it was time to come home..." She admitted as Eret took her hand. "So...what have we missed while we've been away? It's been two weeks..."

The riders all looked at each other, silently asking each other, where should they start?

As they told Heather and Eret everything, Hiccup changed the mood to lighten it up a bit. "Anyway, we've confirmed the final plans for your confirmation ceremony which will take place a few days from now!" Hiccup explained.

"The delay being so you can just adjust to being back here on Berk..." Astrid added and Heather nodded.

"I'm looking forward to it..." She replied. "What do I have to do?"
