Hisoka: King of Hearts

Welcome everyone to the new chapter (and arc) of the story!! :D It's going to be a new and liberating experience to begin writing in Hisoka's perspective, but it's time for some clown action to reach this shiete. 'ey, the first cover of this story was Illumi and Hisoka after all. :D Well, shall we?

"We will now begin selecting the players. As everyone already knows, you must able to use Nen for this game. The test will proceed as follows. First we need each applicant to demonstrate their Ten."

The flash from Kira's phone caused minimal attention division and she shows me the picture. She can't deny and say she isn't flirting with me as much as I was flirting with her. We looked pretty happy and mischievous at the same time, and it was rare to have myself in a picture. One of my expertise is avoiding these, but just to provoke Illumi I'd immolate it.

"We will then make our decision. The judge will be the pro Hunter Mr. Tsezgerra!"

"Are you sure about this?" Kira asks me.

"Let us begin the test. One at a time, come up and show me your Ren. A shutter and a curtain-"

"Certainly, Princess. We do thrive in the discomfort of others, correct?" She shrugs her agreement.

"-moment we've chosen 33 players the test will end."

It's actually 32 in the anime but come on who agrees to the plot nowadays? >:)

The curtain drops. "Please step this way to take the test."

"But to test if he'll get jealous of us, though?" She looks at me. Oh, one of Kira-hime's worst traits -and I was surprised I've found any- is being ignorant when it comes to human emotions. Well, I am too in a way, but this is about them. "Of course." I smirked at her and stated matter of factly, "We can't connect to Illumi once we're in Greed Island after all."

"You seem really confident we're going to pass."

"Why aren't you? It's just Ten demonstration." I leaned back, putting my hands behind my head and purposely flexed my biceps for her to see. I don't think she was aware at all that she licked her lips while she was staring at me before looking away. I was almost unable to laugh it off because Kira really is amusing. Something tells me Illumi doesn't know about this, too.

"Now then. Before we begin let me explain a few things. The individual game copies are not independent. It doesn't matter which console you start from because you will arrive at the same place. Consider it a virtual area accessible from any spot on this planet. I will now hand out memory cards. You will head immediately into the game, but first we must decide the order. Only one may enter the game area at a time. We will decide the order now to forestall bickering inside the game."

Kirahime and I turned out to be one of the last people to get in the game, and I'm glad we were. It means we can shoot more pictures to piss off Illumi, and I'm all about that. Kirahime positions the camera and I put my hand across her left shoulder, putting my lips against the temple of her head in a sly smirk, and she grins widely. The flash wasn't very seen, and the picture went straight to Illumi and at the same time a caption of 'ATM HEEEEY~' put there by her. As she sends it, she tells me. "Will Illumi spam me with curses now?"

"It won't reach us when we're inside, don't worry." I pat her back comfortingly, but my smirk contrasted it.

Actually, I was aimless. Yes I am partly going after Gon, but I have to seem the opposite when I'm with Kirahime because she might turn on me. Participating in Greed Island is indeed just for fun, and the fact that this is my chance to become closer to Kirahime is already making me excited.

When it was my turn before her, I arrived at the starting point with an odd modern technology girl levitating in mid-air.

"Welcome to Greed Island. You must be Chrollo Lucifer."

I changed my name here, not even knowing it was possible. The Phantom Troupe will surely be here so I want to rekindle some er... tainted ties between us.

"I will now explain how the game works. Would you care to listen?" I shrug. "Sure."

Is this girl capable of fighting?

"In this game two magic spells are available to anyone wearing a ring: Book and Gain. Place the hand with the ring in front of you and say 'Book'." So I tried it, and a book appeared out of nowhere in front of me. I was unable to mask my surprise for a shorter time than I preferred, but I know I don't have anyone to hide from. This is surely a programmed character in the game.

"In this game your task is to collect certain cards. That book is for storing cards you've collected. Please look at the first page."

After that brief set of informations and instructions, I felt fairly knowledgeable as I arrive at the starting point in the game. It was some kind of small tower and I knew by the moving flimsy aura presence that Gon and Killua were down there. I waited it out so in a way I was conceding with Kirahime, so I wasn't being out of line to my own surprise as well. When the presence of the two boys left, that's when I walked down and waited it out.

"Not daydreaming about me, are you?"

I chuckle, "Why daydream when I could do the real thing?" Kirahime winked at me and I sent her a cheeky one back. Well who knew that Kirahime can be this sexy? Illumi sure didn't.
