I knew he was hiding something from me, but I didn't care. He got the agreement of the Nen exorcist? I don't care. He seemed honestly glad about it, so I felt it was right to do the same. I can understand. Of course he was easy to figure out since we met with Gon and Killua, but I didn't mind by now because I also know he has his reasons. The downside of it all was that I know he recognizes the advantage he has against me everytime he would get near me, whisper to me, smirk at me, wink at me, lick or bite his lips at me, I've almost had enough! Sure, I flirt with him, but once I fall for him, I know this thing will be lethal.

Thing is, I think I already did.

I didn't mind at all if he was claiming me by name. I was worried about him in the dodgeball match and I felt like dying inside when he caught that ball though he was wounded by it. I was paranoid at his broken fingers, I was dead anxious when Gon fell unconscious because he would be the only one to manage the ball.

"Princess?"

I broke out from my reverie and confusedly looked around. Hisoka was at the stairs how we came and the kids were staring at me. I pushed my hands off the stone and realized I should probably be joining Hisoka out.

"Hey."

"Hmm?"

"Does this mean we're going back to zero? You deal with the Troupe and I..." my eyes wandered off to a distance absentmindedly, "come back to Illumi?"

That realization gave me a sinking feeling. I didn't want to come back to that boring, impassive, surely heartless, and bitchy son of a bastard when I can stay with this sweet, intriguing, sexy through being pedo man beside me. It just doesn't feel right anymore.

"Do you not want to go back to Illumi?"

"I do!" My lips betray, "It's just more fun being with you... what's so funny?" I shove him away mockingly but he remained laughing from under his hand, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry." he giggled. Hisoka fucking giggled and it's damn cute. "Illumi would be pissed as hell if he was here."

"Good thing he isn't. For some reason, he didn't want me to come to you in here." I put my hands behind my head, "I said I have to give Feitan a late due and he didn't say much."

"He let you go even after what you said?"

I nod, and he laughed again. "He's not too strict with you as I thought he'd be." My head tilts in confusion, but he continued thoughtfully. "For all I know, it could be jealousy."

"Why?" I ask with a laugh. A jealous Illumi? Wow, that's a sight I don't imagine everyday. "It'll be hilarious if he's jealous."

"But let's refrain from talking about him. You're coming with me."

I smirk, "What if I don't want to?"

"I'll live up to what I said after the match." he smirks equally, and I laugh. "That is not a bad thing."

Phinks used Accompany to get me and Hisoka with the rest of the spiders. The me that confronted them previously would've needed Hisoka to calm me down, but now I don't (but if it meant he would constantly check on me and reserve the him I saw in the match JUST FOR ME then I'm all for it). Feitan glared at me, and I just gave him a smile back.

"Where is our friend?"

"Machi and Nobunaga are tailing him. He's just up ahead." Shalnark lifts his finger and as we use Gyo, we could see a blue thread wound around his finger in a secure knot.

"We'll let you negotiate with the exorcist. We're willing to pay any price he asks." Phinks says, and Hisoka and I share a knowing look. If only it hid a murderous intent, then I would love this guy more.

"You in the shadows. Was it through your power?"

I sigh, "Kalluto, Hisoka." and the two troupe members tensed up, "You didn't even use En. Are you some kind of freak?" Nobunaga questioned, but was only replied back with a "I recently completed a very interesting battle. I'm feeling rather sensitive at the moment."

"I know how to get rid of that sensitivity." I leaned back and gave him a smirk. He in turn winked and licked his lips at me, and I found myself doing the same. Nobunaga and Machi visibly reacted at us but we ignored him. Kalluto came out and it was only then that I realized she's Hisoka's replacement.

"You look very appetizing as well." I hit his hand because of that, giving him a pointed look in the process. He just laughed at me and returned to looking through the scope. I rolled my eyes but smiled slightly at Kalluto, receiving a smaller one back.

"Are you serious about fighting the boss?" Machi asks. "Of course I am. Would you rather I survive than Chrollo?"

I hung from their conversation feeling a source of aura a few inches below my feet. I masked my confusion but I did try to see what it is. Peeking a little bit, I notice a small orange flame from below my feet a distance away, and since my hair was down today I was able to see it burn at the edges. When I lifted my feet, a small flaming pebble broke free and fell down.

Wait... how come?

"I'll be with you until we leave the game, but that's also because I want to be on full power by the time I meet Feitan again."

"Wow." Hisoka blinked at me, "What made you change your mind?"

"Well, testing my patience against prey is a trait I got from you." I smiled at him through the light of dusk behind us. We were waiting for the exorcist to come and the Phantom Troupe was hiding. Knowing they can hear us I choose my words carefully and I think so does Hisoka.

I don't know, I think I just have that intuition that Hisoka and I actually bonded. We actually developed our own ways of understanding each other through the moments we think we wouldn't. This was making me even sadder that playing with him will come to an end, but I'm also happy. I'm satisfied.
