Chapter 2: I don't know what just happened

I was trying to concentrate to Ms.Patterson but then I felt something small hit the back of my head. I decided to keep my gaze towards the front of the class because turning around would mean punching the Spawn in his face.

*Hit*

I sighed. 'Let it go. Let it go.' I chanted in my head. I smirked as I thought of the catchy song.

*Hit* Thats it.

I turned around with a frown on my face and faced Aiden. He was eating a bag of skittles while smirking at me. "Would you stop?!" I whispered-yelled.

"Excuse me, I'm trying to concentrate on Ms.Patterson." He replied still smirking. This was funny to him? Of course it was funny to him.

'He's just trying to get in your head' I told myself. Aiden loved messing with me. He likes to see me frustrated and annoyed by him. Though I can't complain because I mess with him a lot too.

"Listen Aiden, I don't...." I didn't get to finish because he threw another skittle hitting me right in the middle of my forehead. He bursts out laughing while I glared at him trying not to shank him right then and there.
"You annoying little piece of shit!!" I shouted at him. This made him laugh even more. I was about to go on when Ms.Patterson got my attention.

"Corey and Aiden, get out of my classroom right now!!" She screamed at us. We both stood up and made our way to the front of the room. I could hear Aiden still snickering. On our way out, she handed us two pink slips meaning we had detention after school. Detention. I don't get detention. Thanks Adien, now I've detention, because of you. We stepped into the hallway, Aiden still laughing.

"This isn't funny; we got detention." I leaned against the wall and slid down slowly while groaning. I never got detention. Sure I was sarcastic but I'm not the type to get in trouble a lot. Aiden recovered from his laughing and sat against the wall opposite of me.

"You'll live" he replied. I gave him a 'Are you serious' look.

"Do you know what my mom will do if she found out that I got detention?" Aiden just rolled his eyes. I looked at him in the eyes. His ocean-colored eyes just stared back at me. "You know Aiden, I don't like you."

"I don't like you either." He was clearly enjoying all of this by the smirk on his face. "However, I love seeing you upset. It's my only joy in life." He chuckled. I just rolled my eyes.

"What about all the girls you screw? Is three times a day not fulfilling your needs?...." I drawled out.

"Funny." He replied. "If you're in love with me, Corey, just say it."
I scoffed.

Aiden was the most arrogant person I've ever meet. I don't think I could ever fall love with someone like him.

I'll admit, I used to have a crush on him, but that went away once middle school started. That's when he started acting like a jackass.

"As if" I mumbled. Aiden raised one eyebrow and stood up. He made his way towards me. I furrowed my brows as he sat next to me. A little too close for my liking. He placed his hand on my thigh and rubbed his thumb gently on it. I made an inaudible gasp at his gesture and at how warm his hand felt on my leg. What was he doing? I couldn't help but feel butterflies in my stomach at his touch. He leaned down and whispered in my ear.

"So you're telling me, that I have no affect on you whatsoever?" Not trusting my voice, I shook my head quickly. He moved his hand further up my leg and slowly started placing kisses next to my ear. My body felt hot all over. What the actual fuck?

Why was I feeling like this? I was suppose to be hating this dude. I desperately wanted to push him away but I couldn't do it. Aiden suddenly pulled away and chuckled. "I thought I had no affect on you..." He raised his eyebrows. I hung my head and I knew I was blushing. Oh my gosh, Corey. Get a grip.

"You don't." I found myself saying. Aiden was about to reply when the bell went off. Kids immediately started to pour out of the classrooms and filled the halls. Aiden got up and made his way to I guess was his next class. I was still sitting there thinking 'What the hell just happened?'

I shook my head and stood up. Okay. That happened.

It was lunch time so everyone was either heading for the cafeteria or exiting the building.

What the hell was that?! What the hell is wrong with Aiden?! What the hell is wrong with me?!

I stood there walking around the hallways, going specifically nowhere.

I've got it.

He was probably high, or better yet, wasted. Yup.

People do crazy things when they're drunk right. Perfectly normal thing to do.

Oh, who am I kidding. Whatever that was, whatever Aiden did, he did on purpose.

Okay, Corey. Just stop thinking about it. I walked aroun the hallways some more until I found Jackson.

He was talking to this girl with dark hair. Her clothes were way too tight but I didn't pay much attention to it. When Jackson spotted me, he furrowed his eyebrows. He ended his conversation before walking towards me.

I didn't miss the glare that the girl was giving me. She obviously didn't like that I interrupted her conversation with Jackson.

Once he approached me, "What hell happened?" He asked with caution.

"What do you mean, I'm fine." I assured him. He studied my face.

"Shut up. You look like you just saw a fucking ghost." Jay raised his eyebrows.

"I told you I'm fine. Um, You said you wanted McDonalds. Let's go. You can tell me about the girl you were just talking to." I said waking away from him.

He pulled me back and I groaned. He was so dramatic. Plus, he should know not to hold me back from food. The audacity.

"Well go eat if, you tell me about what happened to you. You can't lie to me, marshmallow. I know you too well." I sighed in defeat.

"Fine."

We started walking to his car.

Once we started driving, Jackson turned on the radio. Our favorite song came on and we couldn't help but sing.

Baby I'm praying on you tonight
Hunt you down eat you alive
Just like animals animals like animals
Baby you think that you can hide
I can smell your scent for miles
Just like animals animals like animals

"You're a terrible singer. " I laughed at Jackson.

He gave a perplexed look. "I am not! I sound great!"

I laughed harder. "Please. You sound like a dying cat that's being shoved into a blender."

Jackson just joined in on my laugh. "Don't think your getting out of telling me what happened." He gave me a pointed look before returning his gaze back to the road.

Shit.
