Trigger warning: this chapter includes sexual assault. Though I do not condone it/ think it's okay in any way, shape, or form, it's apart of the book that plays a part later. I promise the offender gets justice later. But you may skip this chapter is you choose to do so.
Chap. 5 The Party
"Cat, what is taking you so long?!" Liam yelled from downstairs.
"Don't rush me! I still have five more minutes so don't get your boxers in a bunch!" I yelled back as I finished sliding on my shoes. After I was done, I looked myself over for the millionth time determined to make sure that everything was perfect for my first party. I'd decided to go with a simple outfit consisting of a blue camisole with a white and purple flannel thrown over it along with a pair of ripped shorts and a pair of blue tennis shoes that matched my camisole. I'd decided to let my hair stay down and curled the edges a tad, seamlessly pulling my look together completely.
I applied a bit of lip balm before I grabbed a small black purse and rushed downstairs. "I'm ready," I announced once I reached the bottom of the stairs just to see the boys sprawled across my couch waiting for me.
"Finally," Liam groaned as he sat up, his hair messy. "God you take a long time to..." He stopped mid-sentence once his eyes landed on me. "Looks like baby girl's got some style!" He grinned causing me to roll my eyes.
"Just shut up and let's go," I said as I headed toward the door when I suddenly felt a hand wrap around my waist and pull me toward it. A small squeal escaped from my lips when I was pulled into River whose eyes were looking me up and down.
Pervert.
"You look really nice, Cat," he lowly said, his eyes burrowing into mine before he let go of my waist and walked out the door without another word leaving me where he'd left me with confusion clouding my mind.
"Come on, party girl," Mason said as he linked arms with me before we walked out to Liam's car, snapping me back to reality. "Just remember not to let any boy get in your pants. We already have a baby on the way and we don't need anymore, got it?" He said as he patted his stomach, causing a small blush to creep on my cheeks, but I covered it by punching him in the arm.
"I'm just looking out for our future," he laughed before we got into the backseat since River already had claimed passengers side. After a few more moments, Liam finally exited my house and plopped down into the driver's seat.
"Next stop, Shawn Lyon's house," he said as he jammed the key in the ignition before he sped down my street like a madman.

You could feel the vibrations of the music as soon as you pull into the neighborhood. My leg had been bouncing uncontrollably ever since we'd pulled out of my driveway and now that we're here, I was starting to regret agreeing to come here.
