I got a text from a random number.
"Who is it?" Penny asks
"I don't know" I said and checked the message
Unknown: Hey Kirby right?
Tayl💞r: nooo...
Uknown: someone told me this was Kirby
Tayl💞r: no dude I'm a girl 😂😂
Unknown: oh hi there girl 😉
Unknown: who are you then?
Tayl💞r: I'm Taylor James
Unknown: cool I'm Caleb Martiny
My heart stopped. So Kirby seriously gave him my number. I should've seen this coming!
"Earth to Taylor? Are you okay?" I heard and snapped back to reality.
"Yeah!" I say
I went back to texting. What should I say? I don't want him to know I know him.
Tayl💞r: nice meeting you Caleb
Caleb😍: u to Taylor
Caleb😍: do I know u?
Tayl💞r: idk but I'm currently having a sleepover so can I ttyl?
Caleb😍: ok bye
Tayl💞r: bye
"Who was it?"
"Just an old friend!" I lied
Even though penny and I have been best friends for about a year, I haven't worked up the courage to tell her my crush as yet.
"Okay" she says
-Later in the night-
"Tay are you going to get some popcorn for you guys' movie?" Mom says from downstairs
"Already did!" I reply
I drop down onto my big pink bean bag whilst Penny was on another. We decided to see hotel Transylvania. We started and about 20 or 30 something minutes through the movie I got a text.
Caleb😍: hey
Caleb😍: is the sleepover done yet?
Tayl💞r: u do k how sleepovers work right?
Caleb😍: lol yeah
Caleb😍: I'm just bored and got no one 2 talk 2
Tayl💞r: I'm in the middle of a movie!
Caleb😍: awwe so u don't like me anymore
Tayl💞r: I barely k u
Tayl💞r: Idk if u live in the south pole
Tayl💞r: jk jk
Caleb😍: I live in LA thank you very much
Caleb😍: I get what ure saying tho
Caleb😍: ur name is seriously so familiar
Tayl💞r: Idk what ure talking about
Caleb😍: what school do you go to?
Tayl💞r: McLauren Middle school
Caleb😍: me too but I've never heard ur name around school

Tayl💞r: uhhh ok
He didn't reply but I didn't put down my phone. After some time he did.
Caleb😍: is this you?
Caleb😍: {sent an attachment}
Tayl💞r: uhh yeah
Tayl💞r: where'd u get that and more importantly why does a stranger have a pic of me?
Caleb😍: IG. I followed u the other day! Ik that ur name was familiar
Tayl💞r: ok well don't do that again.
Caleb😍: uh sure
Caleb😍: well I g2g
Caleb😍: c u at school on Monday
Tal💞r: yeah I guess so
As I'm done texting I see the movie is almost over. Dang it! I loved that movie. It was already on the singing part where it ends. Something I also notice is Penny breaking down to the song so I decide to join her.
"Cause you're my zing!" Penny and I sing together
"Zinging in the air and I don't have a care! I'm winging from the zing that we share!" We sing.
After a few minutes the movie ends. That was fun even though I didn't see half of it. Then I heard the doorbell.
"Who could it be now?" I ask penny and she shrugs.
