"I'll be back around five Rem."

She sighed. "I never see you anymore. Why can't you just hang with me today?"

"Remi don't start please. As soon as I'm done with this science project we can do something but right now I have to go. Ok?"

"Fine." She sighed and mumbled.

I smiled. "Now say I love you best friend."

"I love you best friend."

"Aww you're so sweet. I love you too" I kissed her cheek and waved before leaving.

Today was the last day me and Jackson had to work on the project and I couldn't be happier. I'm so tired of researching and typing stuff. The only good thing that came from this project is that we will most definitely be getting an A.

It was fun though because while doing the project I made a new friend. Jackson seems like he's a really cool dude to hang out with. I finally made it to the library and was about to go in when someone grabbed my hand.

I was about to swing on whoever it was but stopped when I saw it was August. I furrowed my eyebrows and looked up at him.

"Why are you here?"

"I'm tryna talk to you."

I gave him a confused look. "Why?"

"Whatchu mean why?"

I looked around. "Does Ashley know you're here?"

He furrowed his eyebrows. "No. Wassup witchu why you actin' like dis?"

I looked at him like he was crazy. "Are you serious?"

Now that I'm seeing him again the whole party scenario was playing over in my head. I was starting to get somewhat upset at the stupid question he just asked me. I'm not gonna lie I felt lowkey played at how he told me off and then walked out before I could even think of a good comeback.

He was about to say something but I cut him off.

"And aren't you, like not supposed to be talking to me." I asked snatching my hand from him.

He was quiet and let out a sigh. "How you know about that?"

"I heard you two talking in the kitchen when I was looking for Remi. It was one amongst many reasons why I've been avoiding you."

He stepped closer to me. "I was-"

"August save it. I don't really feel like talking to you." I stepped back. "I also don't want to be the one who messes things up with you and your girl. That wasn't my intention and I had no right to take up all your time."

He shook his head. "You ain't do nothin' wrong."

I held a hand up. "Look all I'm asking is that you continue to be happy like you were before I got here. It's for the best."

"So whatchu sayin'? You asking me to just stop talkin' ta' you?" He asked angrily.

I sighed and shrugged. "I guess I am. I mean we've done it for almost four years, what's a little more time?" I chuckled in a petty manner furrowing my eyebrows. "And you already said you would so I don't see the problem."

He looked at me for a while before looking down.

"Oh, Justine. I was just about to call you."

I looked over at Jackson who was stepping out of the library doors.

He looked over at August then back at me. "I'm sorry I didn't know you were talking."

I shook my head. "It's fine we were done." I looked back at August.
