••2 weeks later••

•Skye•

So it's been two weeks since me and August had that talk and everything seems to be going fine. No disrespectful girlfriends, no miscommunication, no nothing. Everything is 100 percent back to normal.

..Well almost everything. I feel like I'm seeing him in a whole new light.

Every time he's around I get a little nervous or when he smiles it makes me smile and I feel butterflies in my stomach. That's not normal at all. I don't know what it is, I started feeling like this out of nowhere.

He's my best friend and I'm not supposed to feel that way. Like right now the four of us went to lunch and I can't take my eyes off him. All he's doing is ordering food.

"Jus what's wrong? You look frustrated."

I sighed and shook my head. "I'm fine just thinking."

"May I ask about what? Or who?"

I looked at her. "What do you mean who?"

"Why are you staring at August like that?"

"I don't know what you're talking about."

I know I don't like him because well he's August and that's just not possible. Maybe it's the fact that I haven't heard from Derrick in a few days.

"Aight the food gon' be hea' in a minute."

I looked up at him and nodded.

"Ok" I said looking at him.

"Skye scoot over so I can sit down."

"Oh I'm sorry wasn't paying attention."

Remi laughed and Shaun furrowed his eyebrows at me and looked at Remi.

August shook his head and laughed. "Slow ass."

"I'm not slow. I was just.."

"Just what bein slow?"

I mugged him. "Nevermind. Anyways, what are you guys doing this weekend?"

"We got a game that you two will be attending." Shaun said pointing at me and Rem.

"I mean after the game. As in Saturday."

"Oh shit I ain't doin' nothin'. Why whatchu got planned?"

"I was going to go home after the game. I miss my baby."

"So we chillin' at Skye house dis weekend?"

Shaun shrugged and nodded. "I'm down."

"Yes! Now I finally get to see your house!"

I laughed at Rem and shook my head.

"Oh my god what's taking so long? I'm starving."

"Girl you're always hungry."

I nodded. "Y'all tell me this all the time. I'm always hungry and sleepy, I know I know."

I put my head on the Ant's shoulder and sighed.

He rubbed my back. "Y'all leave my best friend alone."

I smiled and sat up causing his arm to rest around my shoulder. I tucked my lips into my mouth so I would stop smiling like an idiot. It was hard but I managed.

Our orders were finally done and were brought to us since it was such a long wait.

"Do you guys need anything else?" She was looking directly at Ant.
