A walk in the sand

Lucy pov

My eyes suddenly opened I looked at my watch it read 3.30pm. oh god I have been asleep for a few hours I decided I needed to get out get some fresh air so grabbed my bag and headed out the door.

I walked down to bondi beach there was still quite a few people on the beach, lifeguards were scattered around, children playing and couples cuddling up together. I sat down on the sand just infront of the lifeguard tower and couldnt help for a slight second feel lonely. realisation hit me that I was on the other side of the world and didnt know anyone.

I took my shoes off and walked towards the sea I let the sea rush over my feet it felt lovely. suddenly I heard a voice from behind me.

"not brave enough to get right in" said a voice

I turned round to see one of the bondi lifeguards standing there with a radio in one hand. he had dark hair with gorgeous eyes. I couldnt help but smile

"I would but didnt bring my stuff down with me, not long landed here so just fancied a walk" I said

"oh right you on holiday? the dark haired guy said

"no I have moved over here from England"

"did you come with family? he said

I let out a sigh

"nope came alone mad I know but needed a fresh start"

"ah wow your brave,"

muffled voices came over the radio

"anyway I am Jesse might see you around "

he took out his hand and I shook his hand gently he gave me a big smile

"nice to meet you Jesse I am Lucy"

I watched him walk up the sand towards the lifeguard tower. I walked back up to my shoes and slipped them on. I slung my bag over my shoulder and walked further along the beach.

Jesse pov

my hand took hers

"nice to meet you Jesse I'm Lucy" she said

she had lovely long blonde hair and her smile just lit up her face. I turned round and walked back up to the lifeguard tower. I couldnt help but hope I would see her again. I walked in to the tower

"chatting up the girls again" joked Maxi

"shut up just having a friendly chat"

"you coming for drinks tonight at the icebergs? called bacon

"yeh I will be there" I said

I sat down on the chair and looked out on to the beach.
