Sunny days made for stormy thoughts.
Avery had told AJ she was going to work out and she did, for less time than usual, she wasn't feeling all that, she had been running a high fever lately.
So she decided to go pick up some groceries they were lacking in. She had just gotten out of her car and realized the door was wide open
Huh, strange, but she evened out that AJ must have seen her pull up and must have opened the door for her. Such a sweetie.
She smiled and walked up the stone path and through the door. She quickly tossed her keys into the dish and walked to the living room to see AJ when she halted in her steps dropping every thing she held in her hands at the sight of her brother kissing Penelope Isley, Poison Ivy's daughter.
At the sound of a dozen eggs breaking on the floor, they broke apart, but Avery was frozen, her body simply would not respond
"Avery-" AJ started but she wouldn't allow it
"Allen Neil Jones-Wayne, what the fuck is this?" She yelled pointing to a disheveled Penny
"I uh," he stammered but couldn't forge a legible explanation before she went off on him again
"You are such a hypocrite!" She shouted flinging her hands in the air
"You forbid me from seeing Joker and then go suck face with Cherry top?" She said feeling betrayed
"Aves, I wanted to tell you but-"
"You wanted to tell me, what the hell was stopping you, you could have immediately come clean when I told you I had a crush on Joker, even though, I know he was your enemy, I still answered you honestly when you asked me, was your honesty too much to ask?" She yelled, her fever and headache already getting worse
AJ opened his mouth to reply
"Don't even bother, guess it was too much," she said walking out with AJ following after
"Avery wait, I'm sorry!" He yelled
"Whatever, go back to bitch red inside, there's no need to look after me any more," she told him
"I don't fucking need you," she told him
He opened his mouth but closed it
Then a few minutes later, he walked out of the house with a duffle bag and Penny in tow
"I know you kinda wanna be alone right now, so I'll leave, I am really sorry Ave," he told her, she didn't respond just looked at him. He sighed and got into his corvette and drove off.
She raked her hand through her hair and slid down the fence
