Waiting For My Clown In Shining Face Paint

Avery tapped her foot impatiently waiting for the henchmen to tie her back up after her bathroom break.

She could try and fight but the collar around her neck would shock her, and shocking ain't a pleasant feeling.

She sighed as they walked outside locking the door behind them

She looked at her wrist, shaking it a little and did a mental victory dance as a dialling tone quietly ran through the room

"Oh my god! Avery?!" AJ's loud voice rang through

Avery actually panicked and shushed him. His lips, sat in a tight line

"I've been kidnapped by the Riddler," she explained quickly, suddenly the hologram jostled and she swore, she could've cried at the sight of Jon smiling widely and she heard him whisper a silent 'Thank God'

"Jon," she whispered

She smiled and looked at him

"Has he hurt you? Did that green slime touch you? I swear I'll skin his ass backwards he'll look like a green thanksgiving Turkey," Jon cussed?

Avery shook her head quickly before she smiled again

"Jon," she whispered again

This time his smile touched his eyes

"It's me baby, it's me, I'm gonna find you baby girl, I promise okay?" He said smiling sadly at her

She nodded

"Please hurry," she anxiously spoke.

"I will baby girl, I promise, do you know where you are?" He asked her she sadly shook her head

"No." She replied he nodded

"Get some rest okay? I miss you baby and I love you beautiful, so much, stay strong, we'll be there as soon as we can okay?" He spoke

She smiled and nodded

"Okay," she whispered

"I love you okay?" He told her she smiled

"I love you too," she replied and then her hologram disappeared and she smiled slightly sighing.

At least her brother and Jon were looking for her and would eventually find her, but for now?
She was waiting for her clown in shining face paint.

Joker let go of AJ's wrist and let his head fall in his hand

AJ cringed before he slowly rested a hand on Joker's shoulder
"You alright?" He asked hesitantly

Joker gave him a "no shit" look

"The love of my life is god knows where, kidnapped by a sick man and we can't do shit until we find her, so yes Batsy, I'm jiggity jag dandy." He replied sarcastically

AJ gave him a stern look

"I care about her too," he argued

"Well let's stop arguing and make a plan," Joker insisted, AJ opened his mouth before thinking against it, instead opting for a nod
