~Threat~

Thalia's P.O.V.

I sat on the couch, drained, tired and a bit sleepy as I helped my mom and some of our maids to clean the house becausr I wanted to send them out early for them to spend their spare time with their own family since dinner is coming a few hours now.

"Thalia, what would you like to eat for dinner?" Mom's voice echoed around the whole house as my father, Jasper and Flint wen to work and will probably come home when dinner is already served. I think Jasper also went to visit his parents since I know how much family oriented he is.

"Is it okay for you to cook pasta? I've been craving spicy seafood pasta for now" I spoke as I walked towards the kitchen and see what mom is cooking, she was chopping some vegetables and adding some leeks so I thibk she's planning to make a soup, although I can't help but crave pasta.

"Sure, but I think I still need to buy some pasta at the grocery" I walked towards the fridge and immediately looked for the ingredients but just as what mom had said, there was really no pasta.

"Don't worry Mrs. Hong, I'll just buy it myself. Besides it's not that dark outside, and you'll probably feel cold" Mrs. Hong... because I'm still trying to minimize the nervousness and unfamiliarity between the both of us but inside me, inside my head, I love calling her mom...

"But Jasper should assist you outside, let's just wait for them a bit longer they'll be home in no time"

"I'm fine mom" She stopped stirring and stared in to space, a small smile appeared in her face as she slowly looked at me with welling tears in her eyes... I just made it seem dramatic now...

"I'll get going now" Mom smiled and nod her head as I took my coat from my room and hastily went outside since my angry and hungry stomach shouldn't have to wait. I went to the nearest store and bought some pasta and sauce that my whole family will like, not to mention that Jasper is still staying at our house.

It was just like a 10 minutes journey and now I'm starting to walk back to our home, the grocery store is just nearby so it wasn't realy bothersome to me.

"Seems like the girl who was very fragile and vulnerable is starting to warm up to her family now" A chilling voice came from nowhere as I suddenly stopped on my tracks and tried to calm my heart down... that voice... I looked at where that evil voice came from and saw the person who should be sent to an assylum.

"What do you want?" Controlling my voice and trying to be brave, I looked at him straight in the eyes to not show him that I'm still fearing him until now. I will prove to him that he did not affect anything in me.

"Where's your knight in shinning armor? Jasper right, my nephew?" With a cheeky smile he took a step towards me while I braced myself, I was glaring at him the whole time as he walked around in circles.

"Why are you here? Aren't you supposed to hide now that Flint and my family already knows that you're the person behind my kidnapping incident?" I have no idea where this sudden bravery came from but I just hope I can get through this alone so my parents wouldn't get worried and frantic again.

"I don't appear infront of my victims when I don't have a warning or a threat" Just the mention of the last two words made me alert, no.. he can't be..

"What do you mean by that? What do you want from me?" This man is really crazy, he doesn't know what's coming in store for him if he decided to do another crime to me or my family, especially Jasper whom he almost killed whn he was still a baby.

"Always just watch your back, who knows what I may do?" He flashed an evil grin and proceeded to walk away from my sight, I could easily shout and ask for help from the people in this street since we have any neighbors that are cooperative but if ido that then Adam might get away and plot an evil revenge more. Just when I think he's going to leave me alone, he slowly stopped walking and looked on his shoulder...

"Oh, maybe I'll not let you be my victim... Jasper is more interesting, don't you think?" No, I won't let him hurt Jasper or anyone in my family, I will do anything just to save them from a phsyciotic person like him...

"Thalia! Where have you been?! Don't you know how worried I am?!" From a small distance I saw Jasper coming out of our gate then he hurriedly walked towards me once he saw my figure in the almost dark sky.

"Thalia!" Jasper shouted making me wake up from all thw random thoughts that entered my brain as the threat and revenge plan is still stucked in my mind.

"I just bought some pasta for mom, I'm sorry if I made you worried" I spoke while staring right in his eyes, if Jasper is here then that means dad and Flint are also here, if I'll tell them what really happened then that would just make everything worse.

"Is there something wrong?" He asked as he took the plastic bag from me and looked at the direction where I was looking on, where Adam walked on and suddenly disappeared.

"Nothing, I'm hungry let's go inside" I spoke, hopefuly wiahing that he wouldnt mind everything I do.
