Waterfall

After visiting Asgore and having a fun date Frisk and Chara continued their journey accept chara was being more quiet than usual. Frisk stopped dead in their path and used sign language. Are you ok your quiet? They asked chara scoffed and shook their head."I'm Fine it's just I'm kinda confused..." frisk looked at them with closed eyes but smiled why are you confused? Chara glared for a moment and sighed."I'm looking for someone you don't get it! When I died there was a plan but it failed and I'm looking for my friend and I-" chara stopped when they reached some bushes.

On the cliff was a shadow from a monster who must have been on patrol.asgore was slowly walking towards them. "Undyne I have your report...I was not able to capture the human but they are wearing a blue and pink shirt!" Asgore stuttered.

"Traitor!" Chara mumbled as frisk kept low trying not to be spotted. "Very well just go I'll take it from here!" Undyne spoke with a sense of anger and it surely scared Asgore off. Frisk tried to get away but when they moved the bushes below snapped.

Undyne instantly turned around and pulled out a spear but hesitated.She slowly backed away into the shadows ,out of sight. "That was close!" Chara muttered. Frisk nodded as a small monster kid fell out of the bushes in excitement. "Omg did you see the way she looked at you! Boy isn't undyne soo cool!!!" Chara wasn't laughing but noticed a black flower in the distance watching. "Look" they growled and when frisk glanced at them the flower ran away with one last glare.

"It's up to something I can feel it..." and with that monster kid, Frisk and Chara continued to walk in waterfall until they came across a bucket of umbrellas...

"You best take one, don't worry about me I'll meet you up ahead!" The small monster said before running off.Frisk smiled slightly before taking the small pink umbrella and opening it. As they walked past the waterfalls they noticed some writing on the cavern wall. "You want me to translate?" Chara asked frisk who nodded in agreement. "Ok I'll try for you" chara mumbled with their ghostly hand in their face as they tried to translate the words. "Gosh it's been so long since I've had to translate but here goes nothing!" Chara began to read it out loud.

"7 souls are needed to break the barrier.7 human souls are needed.once one has required them they can break the barrier letting Monsters roam freely on the surface.If a monster would to do this they would need to absorb a soul one at a time before they became a god...when a monster absorbs a human soul it makes them stronger giving them more HP and new traits and powers, it will also allow the monster to pass through the barrier! This has only been done once but it was not successful enough...."

Chara froze on the last sentence."no....no no NO!!!" Chara read it again and again. Frisk asked something if it has been done once then why isn't there a monster on the surface?, Chara glared at frisk and they could sense it.charas expression sofened "sorry frisk I didnt mean to I'm confused that's all..." chara crossed their arms and floated higher. You can talk about it Frisk told them with their hands but chara shook their head "no like I said you wouldn't understand I'm sorry but I cant let's keep moving I see some light over there!" And with that the two went to a clearing where some light shone down on a statue.

Raindrops fell from the hole onto the statue. "Hey it's the statue papyrus made ages ago! We always had fun playing here and we always used to ... laugh" chara stopped. Frisk looked at the statue eyes still closed shut.They walked over and put the umbrella on the statues hand preventing the rain from touching it.

A small tune began to play.(tune at top)

Chara began to sob uncontrollably,

Frisk looked at them and sighed slightly.They attempted to give them a hug.Chara being in the state they were Tried to accept the hug but failed as they phased straight through Frisk.

Please tell me what's wrong... Frisk asked in hope they would stop crying.

"T-that music it's the music ...", Chara mumbled something of it "the music we used to listen to...the music that was in the music box he gave me on my 1 year of being down here....I thought I'd lost it here but it turns out I must have dropped it down the statue..."
Chara sobbed again before wiping heir ghostly tears away.

Who gave it to you? Frisk asked but chara stayed silent. "You'll find out when I find him , at the castle! It can't be that far now! " Chara smiled knowing they would see heir long lost friend again...or so they thought.
