Do you remember that day?
You looked me in the eye and said you'd stay

You've helped me so much more that you know,
And you always took my side when it came to blows

Now I find you've hidden yourself away,
And now its my turn to say 'I'll stay'

I'm waiting in the wings for you,
And my intentions will often be true

When you step off the stage and walk away,
I know its time once again to call out 'Stay'

You've hidden for so long a core part,
But now you can let yourself fall apart

I'm here to catch you when you fall
I'm here to be you rock, your wall

My emotions are tangled like a ball of string
And my eyes are feeling the ever so slight sting

As the tears fall softly as I come face to face
With the magical human who is his own race

You are the one that keeps boredom at bay
Everytime you laugh and you play

I'm no good at doing rhyme,
So I guess now its time

And so I leave you with this small token of love
And the knowledge that you come first, over everything above

In here for you, I always am
But now it's your turn to take my hand

Well... I'm not great at poems, but this poem wasn't created to show talent. A dear friend of mine wrote a poem himself, and he poured his heart and soul into it. I read it, and even though I don't understand the full meaning of it, I decided to do one of my own.
