EPILOGUE.

CHARLOTTE'S POV

~ 9 MONTHS LATER ~

Nandito ako sa terrace ng bahay at nakatingin sa labas. Habang tumitingin sa paligid ay hinihimas ko ang tiyan ko.

Malapit na kong manganak kaya todo mag-alaga si Aize ngayon. Sa mga nagdaang araw ay bumabawi kami sa isa't isa.

Nawala ang iniisip ko nang nakakita ako ng isang babae na nakatingin sa bahay namin. Tinitigan ko siya ng todo at nakatingin nga siya sa direksyon ko.

Hindi ko siya kilala at hindi din siya pamilyar para sa'kin. Ito ang unang beses na nakita ko siya.

"Master, I'm home. Where are you?" Rinig kong tawag ni Aize na kaka-uwi pa lang. Hindi ko tinanggal 'yong tingin ko do'n sa babae.

"Boss, dito. Nandito ako." Sagot ko naman nang hindi ko tinatanggal ang tingin ko do'n sa babae.

"Master..." Naramdaman kong may yumakap mula sa likod ko at hinalikan niya ko sa leeg.

"Boss, may babae-" Napatigil ako sa pagsasalita nang nawala na 'yong babae sa pwesto niya kanina.

Nakita kong kumunot ang noo ni Aize at tumingin sa paligid. Hinalikan niya ko sa noo ko.

"There's no one there. What did you see?" Seryosong tanong niya sa'kin. Nginitian ko na lang siya at umiling.

"Wala. Baka nakakakita lang ako ng multo." Palusot ko. Napa-iling naman siya at pumasok na kami sa loob ng kwarto.

BLAIZE'S POV

I went out of our house then I talk to that girl that my wife saw a while ago outside.

She's leaning against the wall and looking straight at me. She smirked and gave me an envelope. I grabbed that and opened it.

I saw many pictures of people that I didn't even know. Who are they? What do these people do with us?

"Marami nang nagtatanong tungkol sa'ming mga Aldous, Ashworth. Alam mo ang batas naming mga taga Aldous." She reminded me.

"It's not my fault if they are curious about your family though. You're always not there during emergency meetings." I answered.

"Alam mong wala kaming pinagkakatiwalaan kundi ang mga Arcana lang." She answered. I have no idea also why Aldous is so obsessed with the Arcana.

"Why are you so obsessed with them? I don't understand that too." I said then she smirked.

"There are things that you don't have to know, Ashworth. And I forgot your cousin is very excellent in bed." Which one of them? Then I remembered a certain someone.

"If I didn't know, you love him. Don't act as if you don't." I smirked then closed the envelope. I was about to go back to the house when she talked.

"Maybe, I love him. But he doesn't love me. For him, I'm just his fuck buddy." She said. I sighed. I looked back at her.

"Talk to him, you idiot. As far as I know, he's in love with you too. He just thinks that you only need him to satisfy your own needs." I said.

"Talk to him and don't talk to me anymore about your love lives. I have my own share of problems there, you know." I added.

I still need to make it up to her to most especially that she's pregnant. I walked back to our house and leave her there.

"Be happy, he said." I heard her whispered then I waved my hand to say goodbye to her.

Someday, I know that we'll know the Aldous better. Too much curiosity will kill us, though.

THIRD PERSON'S POV

May asawa na nakatingin sa picture frame na nakasabit sa pader. Napabuntong hininga ang babae habang napatingin sa picture.

"Tinatanong na ng karamihan ang tungkol sa'min, love. Anong gagawin natin?" Tanong ng babae. Inakbayan siya ng asawa.

"Let them, love. They don't have to know everything about your family." Seryosong saad naman ng lalaki.

Napatingin silang dalawa sa pintuan dahil sa may kumatok doon. Nakita nila Alfonsé at Aldea. Lumapit ang magkapatid sa kanila.

"What are we going to do? They are now curious about us, mom." Saad ni Alfonsé at napatingin sa picture frame na nasa pader.

"I told you, let them, didn't I? Next time, do what I say and don't ask." Saad ng lalaki. Napalingon sila nang may pumasok na naman sa kwarto.

"Just like what I've thought, I told you that they're going to ask everything about you when the time comes." Seryosong saad ni Mike.

"Sooner or later, they'll know the deepest and darkest secret that the org has." Seryosong saad niya pa.

"And the only one who knew are the Lacosta, Ashworth, Arcana and Aldous families. No one will know except us." Napangisi si Mike.

"They'll know eventually soon. I can sense that, uncle." Sagot ni Mike at naglakad na siya paalis.

Naiwang nakatanga ang apat doon at kinabahan.

Nandito si Blaize at binabantayan si Charlotte habang natutulog sa tabi niya. Napangisi siya at napa-iling.

"Soon enough, the other alliance will know the secret of that org. Arcana, Aldous, Ashworth, and Lacosta families will be in trouble." Bulong niya at napatingin kay Charlotte.

"And by that time, I'll protect you and our children, whatever happens, my dear Olivia." Bulong niya pa at niyakap ng mahigpit si Charlotte.
