I feel like we have all been through a time in our life where someone has done something and we feel like they don't deserve forgiveness. I mean forgiving is so hard! This person did this and that person did that. What does the bible say about forgiving? First off, I think we should remember to be kind to one another. Ephesians 4:32 says "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you". All those people who are saying "I don't have a reason to forgive this person" guess what? You do! We should forgive because Jesus has forgiven us. How do you think Jesus felt when we sinned against him? When we turned on him? He must have felt sad more than anything but he forgives us! When we sin everyday and come to him and confess he forgives us! That is why he is such a loving God! No matter what we do he still loves us and he forgives us!

Matthew 18:21-22 says "Then Peter came up and said to him, Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times? Jesus said to him, I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times". What this is basically saying is that we should always be willing to forgive another person no matter how many times they have done wrong. We should not put a number on how many times we forgive someone. If they sin against you 1 million times over forgive them. 10 million times over forgive them. It does not matter how many times they sin against you! Always be willing to forgive! Luke 17:3-4 says "Pay attention to yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, 'I repent,' you must forgive him". We are aloud to disapprove of what someone does. The Bible does not say anything about not being able to. We just need to be able to forgive someone if they do something wrong to us.

Colossians 3:12-13 says "Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive". It says that we MUST forgive. There is no I might forgive this person or I might not forgive this person. It is a MUST.

Jesus forgives and he sees us the way we truly are. Let me ask the readers this: A lot of us who have been hurt by someone (for example) might feel like a person does not deserve forgiveness. What about you? Do you deserve forgiveness? Think about it.
