Questioning Christianity?

So a few days ago I was alone and I had some thoughts on my mind. They were not bad thoughts but I wouldn't call them good either. I was just thinking. One of the questions I thought of is why do we need God? Leading to other questions questioning Christianity. Now this was not a bad type of questioning but it led me to an interesting thought. As of now I have some friends who are Christian and some who are not. Some who are atheists, muslims, etc. I was raised with the Christian faith but maybe an atheist could have been raised to not believe in a God. After all, it is what we were taught. Now I know some people find Jesus later in life. Me, I'm not settled. I'm still searching in the Bible and won't settle. I plan on searching and searching cause the more I do the more I find. Now, other religions do get my attention and I am getting curious on what they have to say. Now looking into other ones is not a bad thing because it can help you to defend your own and learn more about what other people believe in to see them differently.

Back to the point, questioning Christianity. I sat down and just started thinking how do we know for sure that Christianity is true? After all, it does require a lot of faith and there are other religions that think theirs is true. I'm not going to say that everyone else's religion is false because truth is some religions deal with a bit of Christianity. We know from the scripture that God is a just God and a fair God. You can't say "THIS PERSON IS GOING TO HELL" because you don't know them entirely. God knows each and every single one of us entirely, inside and out. A lot of people today can be so quick to judge just because someone has a different opinion on religion. Well its not your place to judge. I think atheists who are searching will agree with me if I said that there is some sort of higher power. I mean how can there not be? We are here for a reason. I do not believe that there is "No God". Think about religion in general. Most of them worship some kind of higher power. I'm sure everyone questions at one point why they are here and what is the point to life.

As a Christian I believe in Christianity because it shows love and forgiveness and I believe in that relationship. That love also means loving other people even if they have a different belief than you. I read the Bible and see it as a primary way of God talking because it just speaks to me. I don't like it when people say that "THE BIBLE DOES NOT COUNT AS EVIDENCE ITS JUST A BOOK FULL OF FAIRYTALES" because they have most likely never read it. One thing people can't deny is how it changes you. How can a book not be real and yet have such an effect on people? It changes the way we view things and the way we treat people. We see the world in a different way. All other books religion or not I'm pretty sure they don't change you as a person. I would say that it doesn't just change you but that the Bible transforms you. If you believe in something else and it changes you that's great. It's what you believe in. I don't understand why people worry over it because if Jesus is God then he can work in people who don't believe. Yes we help out but it is Jesus who changes and Jesus who can show a person truth.

So why do we need God? I realized it on that same day. I sinned and I realized that I was not perfect and that I was messed up. Christian or not everyone can admit that they have done something wrong in their lives but who is there to tell you that you have done wrong? Your mother and father do not know every single thing you have done wrong. We need someone who can tell us when we do wrong but who can also care for us. Someone who knows everything about us. As weird as it sounds, none of us want anyone to know everything about us. But if you believe in God and have that relationship with him it becomes easy as you continue it. We need someone to always be there for us and to listen to our requests and that's why we need God. That is why I need God.
