The Aristocats: The Animated Series
Cancelled Series
So back in Forgotten Disney, I talked about a planed sequel for The Aristocats but it got cancelled. Now I came across more research and found out about a planned animatied series.
The show would have been a spin-off of The Aristocats. The show was originally created in 2000 but took a break in 2001 but restarted in 2003 and production was cancelled in 2006 thanks to Pixar's intervention since it was being purchased by Disney.
The show was created to reinvent the characters Marie, Toulouse, and Berlioz, and turn them into teenagers.
Other characters created to expand the cast were Delancey, who would have been a main character as well, and "The Street Cats."
The show was cancelled. It was originally supposed going to have a release in 2002 but was soon rescheduled to have a late 2006 or 2007 release and was supposed to be rated TV-Y.
IDuckFilms said, "I'm very disappointed. The Aristocats Show got cancelled in 2006. It did not get a green light from Disney. Find a new home for this show or sign your petition to revive The Aristocats: The Animated Series."
In my opinion, I think the style is really cool and sounds like a great idea but why are they anthropomorphic and why do they look like the stepped out of the 90's/ early 2000's? The movie took place in literally 1910! What the fudge is going on!? Why is Toulouse's tie green? It's blue for crying out loud!
And who da fudge is this cat!?
Please don't tell me he is Marie's love interest!
*Sparky bursts in* I have found more info!
Taking place in the beautiful city of Paris, France in 1911, (A year after the events of the movie) the series describes the adventures of three talented upper-class teenage sibling cats, which consist of the shy and kindhearted musician Berlioz, the eloquent and ladylike yet feisty singer Marie, and the rumbustious and adventurous painter Toulouse. Accompanying them on their exploits is Toulouse's street-smart best friend and Marie's crush Delancey and their faithful mouse friend Roquefort.
