Rose: Oh okay. So this guy,
Was a deleted character from Disney's 1940 animated film Pinocchio. While not physically seen in the final film, he and his troops are refered to several times by the film's cast.
In an alternate scene, J. Worthington Foulfellow (Honest John) and Gideon hide from him while he patrols the village in search of crime. At nightfall, he crosses paths with Geppetto searching for Pinocchio. The Gemdarme obstructs a poster advertising Stromboli's puppet show depicting Pinocchio's face, causing the saddened Geppetto to keep on searching.
Sparky: Bit difficult from what we are use to.
Rose: That's right, just imagine what it would be like if Disney actually kept Gemdarme in the movie?
