"It was sad music. But it waved it's sadness like a battle flag. It said the universe had done all it could, but you were still alive."

- Terry Pratchett

Recap: Mavis sighed and shook her head, smiling.

This was going to be a long night.

Back at the guild, no one had yet realized the absence of the five girls. After all, it hadn't even been a day since they had left. Well, technically it had, but was just nighttime, so not yet 24 hours.

Or so it seemed. A certain salmon-haired dragon slayer couldn't help but feel a tugging feeling in his heart, and a nagging voice in his mind.

'She's gone,' the voice said. 'She's gone, and if you don't look for her, she's never coming back.' Who was gone, and if Natsu didn't go look for them, they wouldn't come back?

His thoughts were interrupted by the stupid, squeaky, ugly--uh, I mean, beautiful, graceful, melodious voice of Bit--I mean, Lasag--uh fine. Lisanna.

"Natsu-kun, do you want to go on a date?"

Absentmindedly, Natsu nodded, and this earned a smile from his girlfriend. Or so he thought. The moment Natsu stood up to get ready, her already extremely ugly face contorted into an even uglier scowl. Look, some people can look pretty when crying, some people can look pretty when mad, but this was just not for the white-haired -- yes, white-haired. Her sister has silver hair, but she has white hair. -- barmaid. Her thoughts ran rampant. Why was Natsu so spaced out today? Was he seeing another girl? With the second thought, her fury flared and jealousy coursed through her. She was not going to give up her boyfriend, and this date was going to make him fall for her harder. Or so she thought...

But, the date turned out to be like any other. Actually, I'd say it was even worse. Even in what she thought was her sexiest outfit (but only served the purpose of looking stupid)

Natsu remained majorly unresponsive and lost in thought. Only when they entered a small clothes shop that the dragon slayer perked up. And when I saw perked up, I mean immediately perked up. Suspicious at what could suddenly make her seemingly depressed boyfriend so engaged, she looked to see his source of interest. Surprisingly, it it was not a nice piece of clothing or elaborate, priceless jewelry that Natsu was interested in. Oh, no. It was a hooded figure who was paying for a bag at a counter behind which sat an old lady. After making some small talk, the hooded figure stiffened as if they had just realized the presence of Natsu and Lisanna. Then, the hooded figure quickly left and thus lost Lisanna's interest, but not Natsu's. The dragon slayer remained staring at the place where the hooded figure had once been, and Lisanna had to tug him out of the store to the restaurant they were going to be eating at.

On the way, Natsu couldn't help but think of the hooded figure. Who was it? Why did it intrigue him so much? It felt like there was something off about the figure, but he couldn't put his finger on it. It frustrated him a lot, but he had no choice but to let go when he was dragged into the restaurant.
