Chapter 38: I jumped from a building

We jump. My heart was racing and everything was moving in slow motion. It felt like an action movie such as X-men or something. The building was collapsing on itself. That place where I had so many memories. Then, as we were falling, I was so lost in my thoughts I let go of Carson's hand as he fell in a different place. I hit the floor hard and felt some of the building wreckage fall on me.

Carson's P.O.V

The impact was hard, believe me. I didn't fall unconscious though. I had a broken leg and a dislocated arm. It definitely hurt, but I have to find Mercy. " MERCY!" I scream into the distance.
Caitlín runs towards me. " Carson, you're alive as well, it's just Mercy now!"
" Wait how did all of us survive?" I say confused, Heck everyone was in a fire.
" Yeah....Ummm well most of us were on the ground floor, Diego managed to escape, but one of us did die, and you're not gonna like it.." Caitlín says while awkwardly glancing at the floor.
" TELL ME LATER AND FIND MERCY!"

I run off and search between the wreckage. I finally find an almost lifeless Mercy laying there. I pick her up and run to Caitlín who apparently had called an ambulance.
" Boss, what do we do now, how are we gonna take revenge on the Red Vipers?" River asks.
" Why did you call me boss, why don't you ask my dad?" I say.
" Oh...umm someone else will tell you!" River says while running away.

I know I have a temper, but it couldn't be that bad. Something's not right. " Lucy?" I say.
" Yes boss!" Lucy replies.
" Why's everyone calling me boss?"
I had a slight hunch on why, but it COULDNT be true! " Boss, your dad, he, he didn't make it," She says quietly.

Mercy's P.O.V

I was feeling dizzy. " Where am I?" I ask.
" You're in hospital," Azita replies," Do you remember what happened?"
" Hell yeah, I jumped off a building!" I say while rolling my eyes.
" Yep," She says," And Carson *ahem* Boss should be in hospital, but umm yeah,"
" Don't tell me"
" Yep, Carson's the new boss,"
" No..Carson must be a mess," I whisper.

I need to go see him. I try to get up, but my whole body starts aching. " Mercy, you broke your ribs !" Azita says panicked, while trying to put me back down.
Damn this
Damn my life
Damn the Red Vipers
Damn the fire...

I broke my ribs before I published this story on wattpad. A horse decided to go all hulk on me and throw me off while running. I could still get up, it just hurt every time I did so.
