Chapter 40: Complicated

Savannah runs through the hospital doors. " WHAT THE HELL?!" I scream at her from my hospital bed.
The sight of her brought me to reality from my deep thoughts. " Where were you?!" I ask.
" Long story, but The Red Vipers had me..but something isn't right!"
" You mean the gang house getting set on fire and how did you know?!" I say.
" Well...they kinda let me out..." she says until her eyes find the floor.
" Well, HAVE YOU THOUGHT THEY MIGHT HAVE A TRACKER ON YOU!" I hear Carson shout as he enters.

Shoot. " ....Oh flip" I say.
" Well..this is great, but how are we sure, you might as well check?!" Savannah says.
Carson limps towards her and takes out his phone. " I have a tracker too, it can detect others, one essential gang thing!"
BEEP BEEP! " Yep, there's one on your back," Carson says. " Go take it off and see if you can find it, if not Mercy can go help you," He says.
Savannah leaves as I take in what's just happened.

2 years later...

I've healed now, and we have a new gang house. It'll never be the same, but it's good enough. Carson's taking me out for dinner tonight. Being a 20 year old is more stressful. I have a part time job as a waitress because at the gang I get bored quite a lot. I'm going on a date with Carson tonight, so I'm getting ready now.

I pull this stunning dress on and slip on some black heels as I do my hair inti a nice plait trailing down to my hips. I run downstairs and get in the limo. " Someone's excited," Carson says while smirking.
I just smile to myself as we drive down familiar roads. We arrive at a beach...the same one as our first date. Everything was exactly like it. It was so nice, memories, fun and yeah. Why the special occasion though? Without overthinking I sit down and enjoy dinner. Suddenly, Carson gets on one knee.

He pulls out a stunning ring and says," Will you marry me my queen?"

SERIOUSLY CARSON THAT'S IT?!!
