Chapter 26: Figuring It Out

Reyna's POV

I woke up to a strong arm around my waist. I missed this.

"Good morning." Tyler whispered in my ear.

Then I felt something off.

We were both naked.

My eyes widened and I took in a breath.

He chuckled in my ear. As if reading my thoughts, he said

"I could wake up to this more often."

To this my face turned bright red. Just then he turned me over so my front faced his front. Our bodies touched and I could feel mini Tyler on my leg.

He pulled me up so I was laying on top of him.

I laughed, "What are you doing?"

"About to make love to my beautiful wife again."

After our shower together, (only showering) we got dressed.

"God I miss fresh clothes and running water." I said. I don't even know how long I was gone

I'll never take any of this for granted again.

"And I missed my wife." he said hugging me from behind.

"Should we go see everyone?" I asked.

"I guess." he sighed.

We walked down the corridor and he stopped when he saw, might I add, a beautiful woman with piercing green eyes.

"Let's go this way." Tyler said more to himself more than to me.

That got me suspicious.

Did he do something with her?

I brushed it off. Question for later.

"Guys!" Tyler yelled in the room with all of the people I know. He probably used that mind thingy to get everyone here.

"I have a surprise." he said.

"Whatever it is, it won't be the same without Reyna." Serenity said.

"Yes it will." he said.

"But-" he cut Serenity off and pushed me ahead of him.

Immediately Serenity used her speed and pushed me into a bear hug and started crying.

"I thought I might never see you again." she said as she sobbed.

"I'm here." I whispered, my own eyes tearing up as well.

Serenity and Tyler didn't leave my side the whole damn day.

"I have to go to the bathroom. Alone." I said.

Tyler sighed but agreed.

Serenity didn't seem pleased with the idea.

"I'm coming with you for protection since there isn't one for a few hallways down."

I chuckled. "Serenity, I'll be fine. Seriously."

She sighed but nodded as well.

As I was walking back, I felt a strange presence behind me. I turned around but there wasn't anything there. I turned back around to face the woman I saw earlier.

"Can I help you?" I asked.

"Are you the one married to Tyler? Reyna I presume?" she asked.

"Uh, yes. Who are you?"

"My name is Rachel. I was Tyler's slave back in the day, we fell in love, I was kidnapped by another vampire. I didn't escape until about a week ago and came straight back to find Tyler. Married. And not in love with me."

My eyes widened.

"I'm truly sorry. I couldn't imagine how you feel." I was truly sorry.

That's why the first day you met Tyler he didn't like the word 'slave.'

Realization hit me. This is the girl he still loved when they first met. Not in love, but still loved.

"I came back to find him married to a slut who just wants him for his money." she sneered.

"I don't want him for his money. I never have. In fact I hate him spending money on me." I spat.

I was really starting to not like her.

"Oh but Tyler does." Did I say that out loud?

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Did he not tell you. While you were gone, he made out with me and we had sex!"

My face dropped and tears filled my eyes.

"Liar." I spat.

She just laughed. "Whatever you say.."

Rachel sped off.

I ran off. I believe her.

I cried and cried just leaning against a random hallway door.

I can't believe he cheated on me. To think I married him. I loved him. I still do.

That's why I'm crying so hard.

I felt a pain in my head and fell into blackness.

"Mom? What's happening." I asked her.

"You're powers, they're growing. Because you're father died again, you're gaining your vampire side he took from you."

"Was I a Renx?"

"Yes. You could tell the future."

"Mom. I need to wake up. I need to talk to Tyler. Do you know if he actually cheated on me?"

"Honey, I watched over him too. He thought Rachel was you because he was drinking. He found a mole on her neck right before they went further than kissing. He snapped out of it. They never had sex. Rachel was trying to draw you all apart."

"It worked." I whispered.
