✦35✦ Blue Flower Arc - For her sake

Michiyo was resting in Building 13's infirmary wing's bed, bandages covered her right eye and she's got a huge white bandaid on the right cheek, but other than that she was fine after taking some medicines that Samon got Qi to make.

Just in case anything was wrong, Otogi also checked on her to see if she had any broken bones, but she was okay and just needed rest. 

"Thank you very much." Samon said to Otogi. He then looked at Michiyo to see her sleeping in bed. He gently brushed her fringe because he could have made it there earlier for her. If only he wasn't late, if only he had arrived on time to save her. "If anything happens to you, I..." What was he saying? This wasn't the time to be dwelling on the 'should have' or 'what ifs.' He should be telling himself that he's got a duty to do, and he will do it. 

Samon left the room to see Hajime with Cell 13 members. In the blink of an eye, Samon grabbed Uno's long necklace and dragged the 18 year old down a bit to his level. "You..! Don't think I don't know what you're doing! You're going around different buildings telling the inmates to protect No.314 and not to tell a word to the guards! You're also purposely distracting the guards so none of them could get close to her! Why would you endanger No.314 like that?!" 

"And what's the problem! The enemy is among the guards! Who was I supposed to trust?!" Uno argued back at Samon, "You say you care about Michi, but that's just because of your duty!" He swatted Samon's hand away, "Don't say you care about the inmates when it's just your paycheck that you care about!" 

"You piece of shit!" Samon ended up punching Uno's cheek. "If you had let me know what's going on, I could have been able to protect her!" 

"She's not even from your building! Why would you care about an inmate from the person you hate?!" Uno got up and he tried to punch Samon, but Samon managed to get Uno into an arm lock and put down on the ground with ease.

"Uno-kun!" "Uno!" Nico and Jyugo called out to Uno. 

"You bastard!" Rock couldn't stand seeing his friend getting hurt but Hajime stood in Rock's way with an intimidating glare that told him to back off. 

Uno struggled to get up because Samon completely pinned him down. "Dammit! Dammit!"

Samon looked at the way Uno's eyes glared at him as he looked up from behind his shoulders. Uno's eyes burned wit rage within the struggle, it was the exact same eyes as Michiyo had when Samon pinned her down at Building 5's courtyard. It was the eyes of great hate for prison guards. It wasn't anything new that an inmate would hate guards, but Samon still had something to say about it to Uno. 

"I don't care if you believe me or not. Whether you believe I am a guard who cares about his paycheck or the inmates, I don't give a shit." Samon then looked at the closed door where Michiyo was just inside. "I care about No.314, I care about her. Not because I have to, but because I want to. Even if I am not standing here as a guard, I would still protect her!" He then stood up, letting Uno go. He glared at the other three inmates as Hajime stood out of the way, "Quit acting like self-entitled little brats, and put away your hate for us for her sake, will you?!" Trust. Samon was demanding the inmates to put aside their personal feelings for the guards away just for her. 

Hajime rolled his eyes and he decided to light a cigarette. "Go back to your cells, you selfish brats." As much as he disliked Samon, Hajime had to agree with him; Uno's bad decision making made the guards unable to properly do their duties.

"I didn't do anything wrong. Anyone in our shoes would have done the same..." Uno muttered under his breath as he walked away from Michiyo's door.

"Really now?" Samon said to no one, "What will your answer be, No.314? Would you have trusted me? Or would you have been the same as No.11...?" Should he ask her the next time she open her eyes? What if the answer he got was different from what he wanted? Maybe it's best not to say a thing...
