Josh managed to reach his brother grabbing his wrist turning him around so they were facing one another and Joe sighed pulling his hand back from him. They didn't care about the stares they were getting. Everyone knew what had happened in their family but nobody knew that they were living alone in the house they once shared with their mother and father.

"I just want to be alone Josh." Joe mumbled.

"I will in a minute but I would like you to see the school counselor." Josh stated Joe shaking his head.

"You're not my dad Josh, your my older brother, my twin brother. You can make me do stuff I don't want to do just because you're older. I'm fine, I can do this by myself. I just need time." Joe urged.

"I just really think a counselor will help you out like it has me. I miss her too but she's given me advice to help me move on..." Josh trailed off and Joe rolled his eyes slightly.

"It's not for everyone Josh, it doesn't help everyone. Just leave me alone for a while, I'll meet you in math." He stated before walking away and Josh sighed again watching as he died. He adjusted his bag on his shoulder before slowly making his way back to his locker. He couldn't help but worry about his brother. He made it back to the girls seeing they were chatting.

"Did you find him?" Willa inquired moving out of the way so he could get into his locker so he could get what he needed until he could come back. He still needed to speak to a teacher but that was the last thing on his mind.

"Yeah but nothing got solved really." Josh muttered.

"Josh although you look alike you are different. You'll both get through this differently. Joe is doing this in his own way and he'll get through it, he just needs your support." Emily stated.

"You think I'm not mourning over her properly." He questioned them, he was aware Demi was stood there but she probably didn't know what had happened and he wasn't in the mood to explain it to her to get her advice.

"People mourn in different ways Josh, you came into school the day after she died to help get your mind off it whereas Joe didn't even feel up to coming into school now. People deal with it in different ways." Willa stated and Josh looked at Demi.

"From the little experience I have they're right." She stated and Josh sighed slightly.

"Okay I think I get it now." Josh admitted shutting his locker.

"He adored his mom, you know that so this might be a little harder for him so just give him space and support. He'll get through this." Emily promised and Josh nodded his head.

"Thanks girls," He gave them all a quick hug. "But I really got to speak to this teacher. Emily will show you where Math is next Demi, she's in our class too. See you there." They all said goodbye to Josh as he rushed away.

"They're mom died last week as you can guess." Willa stated and Demi nodded her head gently. She couldn't help but feel sorry for them both. She couldn't imagine what she'd do without her mother.

Joe wandered into class after homeroom sitting down in his usual space where he'd sit with Josh and Emily. The teacher looked up from his laptop screen giving him a warm smile but it didn't make Joe feel like he wanted to be here any more.

"Are you feeling better now Joe? Josh said you had the flu." He stated and Joe nodded his head gently.

"Yeah thanks," Joe breathed and he was relieved that he didn't mention anything about his mother. Most people hadn't, he didn't want to talk about it. He thought about it too much. He looked up when the door opened and Emily came in with Demi and she sat next to him saving the seat the other side for Josh. "Sit next to me? I don't really want Josh next to me bugging me." He questioned Demi and she nodded her head sitting down next to him.

"I'll introduce myself, I'm Demi."

"Joe," He introduced too and they all started in a small conversation as the rest of the class filled up. The bell rung signalling for the class to start. "Where's Josh?" Joe whispered to Emily and she shrugged her shoulders gently.
